I have a hobart a200 20qt mixer. the flat bitter is scraping the botttom of the bowl. The shaft looks little bend and i think it is and that is what's scraping the bowl at the bottom on one side only. the whole bowl is not being scraped. it used to work like that and now it does not work at all. the motore is running but the gears are not turing the mixer. Before the first geard stoped working but the other two were okay, now none of them work, but the motore is working.

Assuming the unit is 120v, single phase, my money is on a bad electronic start switch (not to be confused with the on/off switch) It's not visible without some disassembly. Usually, it is located at the rear of the motor cavity. Take note of all the info on your model data plate then go here to obtain a parts breakdown on your particular mixer. http://www.hobartservice.com/Parts/

I'd suggest replacing the capacitor as well.

For Hobart A200 the capacitor is starting or running capacitor?

It is a Start Capacitor. It give the motor a jolt to get it running.

How to invert motor turning direction?

Hobart A200 Stand Mixer
Beatriz, I looked through the entire manual, it shows no reverse option. Did you just get the mixer or did you have it repaired. It seams the mixer is either wired wrong or the gears that rotate the mixer were not assembled correctly.
Check the attached link, manual, instruction and guides, Good luck

I've a hobart a200 that i want to recondition. How to remove the motor inspection cover. There 's a bearing with a nut, how to remove the nut, the rotorshaft keeps turning.

First, remove the steel ring sitting recessed into the hole where the nuts are.

Remove the top transmission cover (top front of mixer, two screws) allowing access to the motor's cooling fan blade.

Using a small prybar (or large, if you wish), prevent rotation of the rotor by placing the prybar on one fin of the fan blade, and bracing it against the mixer's frame. Remove nuts with a 3/4" socket and ratchet.

Hobart Mixer A200 buzzing. The motor not moving

Have you try to run the motor without engaing of worm gears? The worm gear 15T assembly need to remove in order for motor to run freely. check worm gear attach to motor shaft for any damaging.

Seemingly well maintained H600 mixer only runs in reverse...

whoever wired the mixer in , hopefully 3-phase made a mistake on the incoming pwr to term block or the contactor switch any 2 leads this should reverse rotation of the mixer

Hobart A-200 mixer (OLD!) runs hot & shuts down.

You have killed it by overloading the bowl. Hobart recomends no more than 65% bowl capacity on doughs & 75% on batters or icings. Replace the motor or the whole unit

Hobart A-200 Motor Direction

No, do not swap hot and N.

First, verify rotation. As the attachment shaft rotates, it should push the engagement pin into the keeper slot. Looking down on top of the mixer, the planetary should rotate clockwise.

If the unit runs backwards, does it start slow? Can you get it to run either way by giving it a push start before turning on the power? If so, your start switch is not working properly. (Which is my guess) Check your capacitor.

There is mechanical and electronic start switches. (Metal arms and a contact or a little gold rectangular metal can.)

Check it out and let me know what you find -- Mike

Same speed

I believe the speed control needs to be replaced. It controls how much electricity is sent to the motor.
