My baby broke the piece that holds my tablet to the nextbook flex 11 detachable keyboard

Hello Karen Martin,

Glad to hear your baby won the first bout... Congratulations...!!

I have no personal experience with your Flexx but did try to find technical detail... (nice machine, in-expensive, good reviews) only to find it DISCONTINUED.

Isn't that always the way!

I'm a firm believer in repair... (or replacing (especially if you like something)...

While looking for technical detail I also checked eBay and found your keyboard $27 + $10 shipping (used, BELOW) or a whole unit w/cracked screen $55 (free shipping).

I have had great success with eBay... It's no Amazon... but they do stand up for their buyers...

Don't be afraid to become an expert: as long as you wear an anti-static (ESD: $6) wrist-band & PUT EVERYTHING exactly back as you found it (good used of a camera as you proceed (step by step))...

You will be proud.

Every expert always started in the same place... at the beginning
(and plug-n-play makes it easier... not harder... go for it).

Good luck

I am try to get the download and driver but it can't find my S/n number

For a driver you don't need a serial number. Most of the time you even don't need to download anything.
The drivers, made for older windows versions, won't work on a Windows 7 or Windows 8. Not even in compatibility mode. Microsoft needed to make Windows more secure, so only allows drivers in there modern operating systems when they have a Microsoft certificate. For a certificate the manufactures must use Microsoft protocols, ask Microsoft for certification, and pay for the tests Microsoft does, to check the software is working correct. So no manufacturer will ask for certification of drivers for hardware they no longer sell.
Long story, but unless you can write your driver yourself, or you can find an universal device driver (not sure something like that exists) you won't be able to use the device.
I saw some dodgy sites trying to offer drivers. Be aware all drivers you can install in windows 7 or 8, you can get them from Microsoft. The ones you could use on an XP computer can't be used, because Windows 7 or 8 won't let you install them. Just for security reasons.
When your device is sold with compatible with Windows x and it is lower version then the one you use, most likely you can't find driver for your device for the modern Windows. Almost no manufacturer will offer drivers for hardware they no longer sell. Success

Where do get drivers for zeepad 9?

When you connect something to an USB port for the first time, don't hope to much. You have to be sure the computer has the correct software to recognise the hardware and can work with it. From Windows 7 and up, for all hardware that is certified with Microsoft, you can download the drivers from Microsoft. Lots of hardware is recognised when connected and will initiate a download from Microsoft. But not all hardware will do so and not all hardware is compatible (same as not certified by Microsoft from Windows 7 and up) with the new operating systems.

Most things that worked fine with Windows XP and or Vista, can fail with Windows 7 and 8, because the factory that made the hardware in the first place does not ask for certification with Microsoft for their old Hardware. They only spend time and money to get their new hardware certified on the new operating systems. So to make sure your hardware is compatible with the OS. Check the manual and find out, what you have to do so it will work on your computer.
If your device was working on a USB2 port, it also should work on an USB3 port, on the same computer. But don't expect another speed, because the slowest part decides the speed.

Finger print reader not working.....??????????????

@touchcoat

Try re-installing the following and reboot:

For Windows 7
1. Toshiba Fingerprint Utility (for Windows 7 (32/64) click here,
2. Upek Fingerprint Driver (for Windows 7 (32/64) click here,

For Windows Vista
1. Toshiba Fingerprint Utility here or here.

If above steps won't work, the issue is most likely a hardware issue. To make sure that it's not, I recommend trying to do a full system recovery (if you don't mind starting from scratch - turn the computer OFF, hold the 0 key then turn the computer ON).

If you still encounter the same issue, call Toshiba support and have the unit serviced at 1-800-457-7777 (for US) or 1-800-663-0778 (for Canada).

Good Luck.

I installed windows xp on my toshiba tecra m4. How stylus pen works?

Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 is Tablet PC. Windows XP (Profession) has no option of touch screen.
In order to use the feature, you need to install Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or you may install Windows 7, which supports this feature and you would definately be able to use stylus and touch screen, as I have installed Windows 7 and its working fine with all the drivers etc.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

I changed the operating system now i have windows 7 on the compaq tc1100 and now i can not use the wireless how can i fix this??

Access the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?lang=en&cc=ca&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=376810&lang=en&cc=ca

and you'll see that no device-drivers for Windows 7 are available from HP.

This might mean that HP has submitted the device-drivers for your wireless adapter to Microsoft.
If so, try: http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com and do a search for "optional hardware updates".
If there is a device-driver, Windows Update will offer it for downloading/installing.

I have a kindle and connect to usb on a Windows 7 pc. In the past when I wanted to charge the kindle connected to a Windows XP computer I just clicked on the safely remove hardware icon on my task bar and...

I guess you're trying to eject the Kindle from the task bar "(safely remove hardware". Try going into Start/Computer/right click on Kindle/ select eject. This worked for me when I had the same problem.

What graphics adapter upgrade do I need to make

Hi.

The graphic adapter is the video card installed inside the laptop, and normally does not get replaced, as this is integrated with the motherboard.

After installing Windows 7 you will need to install all drivers.

I would recommend using Vista on this laptop, since factory drivers for Windows 7 had not been released. You will have to install general drivers not designed for this laptop.

If you want to install Windows 7 here you get the instructions.

I quote the part concerning video adapter drivers:

"Update the Video Driver
  1. Preparation
    1. Be sure there are no other video drivers installed (you will want to start out with just the standard VGA driver)
    2. Download the latest 82852/82855 drivers from Intel's website
    3. Extract the drivers somewhere, but do not install anything
  2. Turn Off the Digital Driver Signing Check
    1. Create a shortcut on the desktop to cmd.exe
    2. Right-click on the shortcut and select "Run as administrator"
    3. When the command window opens, execute the following commands:
      1. bcdedit /set nointegritychecks ON
      2. bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    4. Reboot
  3. Install the Video Driver
    1. Open the Device Manager
    2. On the menu, go to Action > Add Legacy Hardware
    3. Acknowledge the initial dialog screen
    4. Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)"
    5. Click Next
    6. Select "Display Adapters" and click Next
    7. Click the "Have Disk..." button
    8. Navigate to the path where you extracted the Intel drivers. The *.inf file will be in the Win2000 folder
    9. IMPORTANT: Do not select the 82852/82855 GM/GME drivers, select the 945GM driver (yes, this is counter-intuitive)
    10. If prompted to reboot, DO NOT REBOOT
    11. If told the 945 device might not work right, acknowlege the error, then run Action > Scan for Hardware Changes
    12. "Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controllers" and a "Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family" devices should now be listed under "Display Adapers
    13. Disable the 945GM device
    14. Reboot
  4. Verify the Video Driver Installation
    1. Upon rebooting, Windows 7 may roll back one or more of your display devices to Standard VGA
    2. Open Device Manager
    3. Check the Display Adapters
    4. If there is only one 82852/82855 GM/GME device, or if there is a new "unknown" device, precisely repeat the above driver installation section (include the instructions for disabling the 945GM device); in the case of an unknown device, run the "Update Driver" action for that device instead of running the generic "Add Legacy Hardware"
    5. When everything is working, you should have "Graphics Properties" and "Graphics Options" menu items in the pop-up menu when you right-click on the desktop
    6. The "Graphics Option" item should have sub-items for display rotation
    7. Reboot and verify that Windows 7 no longer rolls back your display drivers after rebooting
  5. Protect the Video Driver Installation
    1. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update
    2. Windows will likely tell you that an important update is available
    3. Click the "important update is available" link (do NOT click "Install updates")
    4. Right-click on the "Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family" update
    5. Click "Hide update" from the context menu
    6. If the display driver gets updated to what is currently on Windows Update, the system will revert back to the Standard VGA driver.
  6. NOTE: When using a driver install hack different from the method described here, I have read reports that a system might Blue Screen when using Windows Media Player to play DVD's; however, alternate media players, such as VLC, reportedly do not exhibit this issue. I do not know if this method will have this same problem, but I thought I would mention this workaround in case someone does experience this issue."
You find driver software at Intel Download Center

Regards.
