I have a 80 series Kenmoore and the spin will not work, but the raise and wash will work, do I have to replace anything or do I just go out a purchase a new one.
Check the lid switch I think the 80 has the little plastic plunger to
push the switch down . Lift the lid and let it down again and listen for a click. If it clicks most likely the sw is ok. You could check the switch with an ohmmeter though to be sure.
a bad lid sw will cause no spin. Do this before buying a timer.
Always check everything else first before replacing the timer.
If it isn\'t agitating or spining check the coupler between the motor and the gear box. Don\'t buy a new washer if you can fix this one it will be better than a new one with all the problems they have. Also yours is built better and stronger. It\'s not that hard on these machines. Good Luck hope this helps. Sorry I didn\'t see the part where the timer wasn\'t moving if it isn\'t it could be the timer. Be sure and check all connections first and check timer motor. Timers are expensive. .
The timmer were the knob is attached to has gon bad it very easy to replace 8 screws and one plug part can cost from 40-80 dolllars

I also have a Kenmore 80 series, everything seems to work but the spin cycle. The big problem is that the spin cycle seems to be the only time the water drains so it is still full of water. How do I fix it and how do I drain it?
Kenmore 80 Series will not do anything. Turn timer to all the cycles and nothing happen. The only thing it does is fills with water. What can I do to fix this.
