There is a pannel on the bottem side about the size of a credit card with one screw in it, that will give you access to the memory ports, then just install the new memmory.

usually 3 short beeps is an indication that you have a bad memory module. try reseating the memory module and see if the laptop would run. also if you have 2 ram modules try removing the other one to test. hope this helps
Remove both sticks of RAM. Insert the "new" RAM where the "old" RAM was, and see if your computer reports "zero" RAM or 1GB of RAM. If the latter, put the "old" RAM into the "second" slot, and see if the detected RAM is the sum of the two sticks.
You can virtually add any amount of hard drive but I would recommend you to keep it low from 512GB.
A 320 GB hard drive in my opinion is a very large one and should work out perfectly.
For the model you can install any company's hard drive until its appropriate to the type you have.

Is this the only time you have tried the media reader? I had the same problem with my new compaq laptop (CQ50-110us) and found that it wasn't installed yet. i had to find the folder with all the extra programs and then install it.
Could not find sound drivers for your computer but this is the sites searches you might want to try.One of theses sites could also work for the same drivers you are needing.
