Need help programming wii console remote

Take off the battery compartment for the Wii Remote, and you should see a small red sync button. To reprogram a wii remote, or program a new one, I first learned that you should try to have all of your other wii remotes turned on.

Then the instructions are as follows:

1. Press the power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote. Press and RELEASE the sync button inside the cover. The player LEDs will blink.

3. Open the SD Card Slot on the front of the Wii console. Press and RELEASE the sync button inside the compartment.

4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the connection is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number.

Yes, poress the sync buttons as indicated, but after releasing sync buttons you must select the controller number by pressing either 1 or 2....this should complete the programming

The Blue lights light up and blink for a while. And then it stops.. any advice

I tried to fix the remote like you said too and it still did not work and I also replaced the batteries in the controller as well and still no luck.

When at a game menu press home button go to i belive controler settings there should be somthing there about connecting click it . i belive you will be able to solve your problem then. sorry i cant help more but i havent used a wii for awhile

Who ever put this post up is a **** not only did I not get my second remote programmed it messed up the first one and now my son is upset....****
