To open the door: Disconnect the power cord from the power source. Remove the lower toe panel by removing the screws along the bottom edge. Reach up behind the front panel and pull down on a pull ring that is attached to the bottom of the door lock mechanism to manually unlock the door
The F indicates that the washer control detected a component problem. ... If the F code was caused by excessive suds preventing the washer from draining, you may be able to shut the door and run a drain/spin cycle to remove the water from the washer.
Hello. If water is leaking from your washer, check the list below:
Is the drain clogged? If you have a clogged drain, it will need to be cleaned – contact a local plumber if necessary.
Is the drain hose restricted, or out of the standpipe? If the drain hose is out of the standpipe, you’ll need to secure it. You can do this by bending the end to form a hook, placing the hooked end into the standpipe, and tying the hose to the standpipe or a faucet with a cable tie (one was supplied with the washer), strong filament tape, or duct tape.
Are the fill hose connections loose at the faucet or washer? Check them and tighten the hose connections. If they’re loose, you might need to install or replace the rubber sealing washers.
Are you using a high-sudsing detergent or is your water soft? Using a high-sudsing detergent, or using too much detergent in soft water, can cause suds to overflow the washer. This may seem like a leak if the suds flow or drip onto the floor. Use a low-sudsing detergent and reduce the amount of detergent you use if your water is soft.
Leave the button on the control panel set to DRAIN
Just to play it safe, you can cut one of the wires to the diverter selenoid valve (I think they were yellow, if I rember correctly) to make sure you don't accidentally pump water onto your floor or something.
ignore the ball - it is supposed to be a suds saver but is a source of trouble on draining.
large diameter hose just fits onto the rim of the large hole in the bottom of the tub and is held in place with a clamp
This is a water saver or previously known as a suds saver model. The bottom one is the drain. The top one would go to a suds tub. If you set the machine on save, the wash water is pumped out of the top hose into the holding sink next to the washer. The rinse water goes out the bottom hose to the drain. The next cycle you could set the washer to the very beginning of the main wash cycle and the washer would pump the water from the tub back into the washer to be used as wash water for the second load of laundry. Yea, used water. But the first load would be lightly soiled stuff, and the next load would be old barn clothes or play clothes. It was designed to save water (about 65 gallons used for 2 loads vs. 90 gallons) and soap. (now, front load machines with larger tubs would use as little as 25 gallons for two loads.) Just hook up the bottom hose to the drain. Leave the save / drain switch set to drain and you'll be fine. To be extra safe (in case the switch was accidentally set to save) disconnect the wires at the solenoid where the drain hose splits into two at the back bottom of the washer. (right where the hoses exit the machine.)
