From a cold start, power on,screen is all blue with "no signal" in the upper right corner. while still in blue screen mode approx 2 minutes after start a squealing sound starts. about 1 minute later the screen changes to black. approx a minute later the squeal changes to a static sound. within 30 seconds the picture appears in a flashing on and off alternating with a staticy screen.then within a minute the picture is fulltime with some horizontal graininess for a few minutes. during the "warm up" time the squeal and static sounds are not controled by the volume buttons.

Sounds like a power supply fault due to leaky capacitors(electrolitics).
From cold take the back off and run a hair dryer over the power supply for a few minutes then switch on,if it comes up fully working then you have to isolate the faulty part/parts and replace.

That sounds like a power issue. Either your power supply or motherboard is having a problem distriubuting voltage to your computer.

How  OTRdriver's solution worked for me to clear up my StreetPilot C330 when it...

1- Turn off unit.  2- press and hold the bottom right corner of the screen. 3-While still pressing and holding bottom right corner, press and hold power button and continue holding both until a white screen appears with a black dot. 4- follow the on screen directions and your unit will be back to the day you first got it.

I takes close over 3 minutes for my garmin 765T to locate a sattelite and I leave in a major east coast city. is something wrong with the system or is this normal

Holding the satellite signal strength indicator icon (upper left hand corner of screen) for a few seconds with your finger brings up a visual display showing signal strength of various satellites, accuracy, speed and elevation.

From a cold start - I too have experienced 2 to 3 minute wait times for satellite aquisition, so I would presume this is a normal. I own three different Garmin units apart from the 765T and satellite aquisition times vary on all three, most aquire satellites in under 4 minutes. Traffic on the other hand seems to take a while to load as this is dependent on availability in your area.

My misubishi VS-50603 just shows a blue screen

Press the AV button on the remote, it will alter the interface with your receicevr. It will automatically pick your receiver if it is sending signal properly. If this doesnt work try another tv on your signal box to see if you get the same problem. Bet its the AV button though. Best of luck dave.

Philips 23PF9966/37 color problem!

Most likely you can adjust it in the Service Alignment Mode (SAM).

Press 062596 followed by the STATUS button (upper left). Navigate to "White Tone", press the right key to enter and select "Normal" mode. Set the colors:

Red = 135, Green = 128, Blue = 133.

The "Cool" and "Warm" menus are deltas from the "Normal" settings:

COOL: R -3, G -1, B 5
WARM: R 2, G -3, B -13

Press the "MENU" button to return to the main menu, then the "Power" button to turn the TV off.

Rolling Screen

Does it do this on any other of its various inputs?
It is indicating that the signal is weak and we need to varify if it is just this one (whatever you currently have it hooked to).
