Tub fills with water when shut off. In 2 days the tub overflowed.

Ok, there is a tube running from the fill switch to the tub, as water fills the tub the air in this tube will activate the switch. If there is a hole in this tube the switch will not stop the water. I fill the tub about 1/4 full, take the tube off the switch and blow through the tube, If you hear air escaping patch the hole or replace the tube.

Rather hard to understand your problem from the wording in the question but what I understand to be the case is that your tub fills up with water and overflows after the cycle is finished. Perhaps overnight water slowly fills the tub. This is due to the water inlet valve not shutting off all the way. The Inlet valve assembly needs to be replaced.

If it only fills when switched on then the control board has a fault on it, the part which switches the inlet valve on is faulty.

This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch.

2. Water level switch. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the air pressure in the tube increases and activates the switch when the water reaches a certain level. When the switch is obstructed, it cannot tell the water to shut off and the machine overflows.Clear it from any obstruction.
3. Air-hose. It is connected to the water level switch through a tube. If the tube or hose is cracked or broken, no enough pressure builds up to trigger the switch and shut the water supply off. Check it for any obvious damage.

yes you do the valve is very easy to replace located
at the bottom left of the d/w make sure to shut that power off

Remove the hose from the water level switch and blow air through it.
The water level switch air hose has a clog in it.
