If it has a pedestal base attached it has to come off first--set face down and on padded surface---support the frame of the screen carefully---in that position exert NO downward force as the screen unit (Display panel) is very fragile and can be destroyed.
Most of these sets the base obscures or hides screws that need to be removed to get the back off.

Usually base stand attachment/ de-attachment procedure is mentioned in related user manual, however, there would be few screws at lower center part of tv to be removed to remove base stand.
on my tv (42 inch) there are sixteen screws on the middle set up in four rows of four each. these are about two or three inches long. take these out and the base comes off. hope this helps.
If you look at the back of your TV, locate four big screw/bolts. Its the biggest screws/bolts you'll ever find at the back. 2 each side that holds the unit to its swivel base. roughly 12" from the left edge and 12" also from the right edge. remove all this four (4) screws/bolts then ask someone to help you lift from the base. Good Luck.
I have an Olevia 42" TV. I was able to remove the base by removing 16 screws on the back side. They were arranged vertically in 4 sets of 4. The screws go through the back panel, through the base and attach (without nuts) directly into the inside of the TV. After removing the 16 screws the stand simply slides out.
I tried removing two screws underneath the base area. They were small screws and were a pain to remove. I thought I would try that first instead of removing 16 screws but that did nothing.
Good luck!
