Screen Size on my Envision L32W761 TV is cutting off the picture.

I have an Envision L32W761 that cuts off some of the screen no matter what mode it is in...usually you can only tell when an address or phone number pops up during a commercial, but obviously we are missing some of the picture when we watch anything...how can I adjust this?? Thank you!!

Thank you, electroman2...we have a button that when pressed gives you four different screen options: normal, wide, zoom and cinema. None of those options give us a full picture, meaning the top and bottom of what is being shown on tv is cut off a bit, less on the normal selection but still cut off none-the-less. Someone suggested we call our cable company as it may be a set-up issue between our cable box and our tv...hopefully that will help! Also we learned that many commercials are not shot in HD or set up for it, so they will often be cut off a bit and that is the way it is for all. We were using commercials to show people how it was cut off...so that solved that problem! :)

I've lost the remote control for my AOC Envision L32W761. How can I change the menu and input source options using the front panel controls? I'm able to access the menu screen but can't figure out how to...

Try navigating the screen using the volume and channel controls. If you still can't get to the left side of the screen then try press the menu button again while on the menu screen to see if it'll navigate you there.
Hope this helps :)

Picture size

I found the user manual online, and the pictures in it are really helpful and make this make a lot more sense, but:
1. Press [SCREEN MODE], to switch the TV aspect ratio.
2. Press [SCREEN MODE] repeatedly until the normal screen displays.
NOTE: • Some programs may not offer all display mode options.
4:3 Programming
[Sidebar] Sidebar displays a 4:3 picture at its standard 4:3 size. Sidebars will be displayed on the right and left edges of the screen.
[Full] Full displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with less horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen because a little bit of the top and bottom edge of the screen will be cut off.
[Wide] Wide displays the center of the picture as original size and the outer sides of the picture will be elongated. The size of the picture will depend on the original signal.
16:9 Programming
[Full] A picture is displayed at 16:9 size as it is.
[Zoom] Zoom displays a 16:9 picture without changing its horizontal and vertical ratio, at its maximum size.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 16:9 picture with vertical elongation.
[Expand] Expand displays a 16:9 picture with horizontal elongation

There are only two things that can cause this problem -inverter and T-con. Since you have already replaced the inverter, it can be nothing other than the T-CON or LCD controller. Replacing the same should resolve the problem. On a side note the inverter/T-Con problem can be isolated easily. The purpose of the inverter is only to light up the backlight of the panel. So when it fails you will still have a faint picture that can be seen if you flash a flashlight on the screen. If you would like me to find you the replacement T-con let me know the part number and I will get you the link to the part.

I too have the problem where the top and bottom of the picture is cut off on the TV screen. No formatting of any kind fixes it. What is the answer?

Some of the wide screen programs will leave blank strips top and bottom of the screen, you can fill the screen if your TV or the remote has picture size buttons where you can select "movie" mode or "movie zoom" modes. try stepping through picture size buttons. Some times it is marked as "wide" on your remote.
