TomTom Go 720 map activation

Just downloaded and install a map of North America v.835.2421 on my TomTom Go 720. After resetting and restarting got message "map not found". A map needs to be activated. Anybody knows how to do that?

After searching online got a solution how to solve my problem. Now map is activated on my device, but it doesn't recognized by TomTom Home 2 software on my PC. Anybody knows "why"? A TomTom support team says the following "The Emulator feature, through the Home Program, is not currently available. We are in the process of resolving this issue; however, there is not an estimated time of release". So, any ideas, guys?

No Maps Found usually means the Application on your internal memory is not the latest one, or the map did not download correctly.
Make sure when you select internal memory when updating your device on home, that you update the application as well.
V8351 should be the latest application for your device.

With operate my Device on the computer it may take sometime for emulators to be released due to the amount of tomtom home updates and update firmware of units. so if you just keep your tomtom updated once a week and you should be fine when that updates comes through.

Unable to find/use Canada Map on TomTom ONE 125

Nowadays TomTom provides all of its maps through TomTom Home desktop software.

You have to download and install that, and then connect you TomTom to your computer. Then you can browse through and purchase any of the available maps through the software providing you have room on your TomTom to hold the map.

Restarts unexpectedly and slow to start

The TomTom 520 and 720 are the same unit. the differance is the maps. The 520 has maps of the US and the 720 has maps of Europe. Download the free clearflash utility from TomTom and run it a couple of times. This should clear up your problem. Sometimes the mapset config in the map gets full and it has to be cleared.

4 Maps Installed, only 3 Visible

you may have run out of memory for the full map, your device can use a 2Gb max SDcard which should be enough for all your maps. It will have put placeholder there and tryed to drop the full map but you can only see the bit it could store to the memory.

If you have the maps for north america installed then you should be able to do it now. If you don't have the maps I don't think it would work at all there.
