The screen is not cracked but when you turn it on, the orange light turns on and the screen is blank but it looks like there is a crack with lines, but the screen is not actually cracked???

Sounds like the LCD or main board has blown a fuse. Look for a small fuse. This may require the machine to be opened up. Contact Konica customer services as this is a common fault with the c250 range
kindregards
Touch screen have an X/Y axis running from top to bottom and side to side. If the crack appears, one or more conncetions will be shorted out and the screen fails. Looks like you need a new unit.
sometimes the crack is inside the panel and not on the outside, if that is the case the Panel (entire front screen unit is called a display panel) will cost wholesale more than a new set.
your read crt is shorting out sorry to say the crts are no longer avail, you can have them rebult but on a projection set they will never look good due to phosforous burn I would say it is time to retire the set
check screen light is it light green/yellow or is it orange in colour.....if it is orange check PC is turned light green also....if not then it defined that their is a problem with your PC itself and not the screen......have a technician looked @ your PC.....
The screen should keep working with the LCD cracked. i.e you should be able to receive calls. You can find replacement LCD screens for Samsung F480 in this link:
This happens a lot with these units (not just insignia). The backlighting goes bad. The lcd probably works, but, because no light is going through, it just looks black. This happens a lot especially if they get wet (moist). Wrap them in plastic before going on a run. The good news is, these are inexpensive to replace on ebay.
The LCD screens are built with a over-cover of a plastic film and the LCD is inside the cover. Any damage on the LCD glass will not be felt physically on the outside of the screen. So, chances are your LCD is cracked if you find a spider web or a liquid spill effect visible.
It is possible to fix but unfortunately the whole lcd panel is one unit so if it is on the inside or outside the whole thing will have to be replaced. The cost on such a thing is right around 3/4 of the price of the tv.
I have a 52" Samsung Series 5/ 530 Model LCD Flat Panel and I cracked the screen. The screen on the outside is not broke nor scratched but something hit it and now when I turn the tv on- it looks like i hit it with a hammer. How is this fixed? Can I do it myself?
