Replace the door switches.

card will work and format to Fat 32 - that is the normal setting for those memory cards.

You can do a factory reset on most Nokias by dialing *#7370#, it may prompt you to dial 12345 to confirm the reset and then select yes or ok. This will delete all data from the phone and restore it to its original condition.

The memory card needs to be formatted in FAT format, not FAT32 or NTFS. If you can, put the memory card in your computer, right click it to select FORMAT... then select the quick and simple FAT format.

If the camera have limitation on memory capacity and this 8GB memory is larger than the limitation, the camera may can't read the memory.
Or the problem came from the formatting process. What kind of formatting did you use, FAT or FAT32? Sometimes a gadget can only read one of this format, FAT or FAT32. Maybe you can try to reformat with different type of formatting. For example, if you have formatted this card with FAT then this time try to format it with FAT32.

if the file system of the memory card is not supported by the camera for e.g. most of the memory card needs to be formatted in FAT or FAT32 file system.better get a memory card reader and plug it in to your computer then once its detected by the computer right click the memory card then select properties then it will show what is the file type. try to format the memory card to FAT and check if your camera will detect it if not then format the memory card to FAT 32. but you have to make sure that you back up any files you have on your memory card beofre formatting

When you format the flash card in a digital camera, it puts in a FAT to allocate the digital picture files. When you delete any files one by one, they are removed from the FAT. when you take some pictures, they will be put into the FAT overrun the old data nolonger in the FAT. Do you have a problem not deleting in the FAT? If so, try to do a format. Some cameras can not do HD(nand flash) 4 mB or larger. You have to use a smaller flash card.

i got the same message after formatting the card. "this card cant be used"
i reformatted the card again but instead of selecting FAT 32 I selected FAT.
Placing the card in the camera it worked as normal.
Seems to be a simple and easy solution. hope its useful.

So format your card with your computer, you may need a card reader if you don't have one already, go to the SD drove and format it using FAT. place it back into the camera and see if that helps

By default, Windows XP will format a memory card of 8 MB or less and 64 MB more with the FAT32 format, Digital cameras and other devices use the FAT (FAT 16 or FAT 12) format and cannot operate with a FAT32 formatted card. Either format your memory card in your camera or select FAT format to format your memory card in a Windows XP PC.
