Keypad on W960i not working:- The number 7 key on my keypad has stopped working. This is extremely unhelpful as I need this digit to unlock the phone. If I peel open the keypad membrane I can short the contacts on the key switches. Doing this works with all of the other digits but not with the number 7. I have ordered a new membrane, but as a result of my experiment I'm not convinced that this will fix it. Any other suggestions???

I fitted a new keypad on my 960i some time ago (funnily enough for the same reason - no.7 not working!) and I'm pretty sure you will find that when your new membrane arrives, it is a complete unit with buttons and contacts all enclosed together, connected to the phones' circuit by a ribbon with a tiny plug on the end.. hope this helps....
