If your player refuses to load a blue ray disc, then it seems that the lens is weak and cannot play a disc of such high quality. The strength it requires to play a normal DVD disc a CDs are different, if it gets weak, it will be able to play your normal DVD disc and CDs, but wont be able to play a blue ray disc.
You will have to replace the laser/lens with a new one. To replace the lens:
Get a screwdriver and a replacement lens,
Unplug the player,
Unscrew the screws that are around the player,
Take off the top cover,
You will have direct access to the laser/lens, then you disconnect it from the ribbon that its connected to,
Then you replace it with a new one,
Then reverse the process to reassemble it back together.
That should do the job for you.
Take care and good luck.
Note: If you are not familiar with such technical activity, i will advice you seek the assistance of a technician.

A common fault is dirt on the laser lens. The unit would have to be taken apart to properly clean the lens surface. It is also possible that the laser may be failing, or the laser pre-amp processor is failing, and or there is a laser alignment fault.
You will have to send the unit in for service to correct the fault. If it is out of warranty it may not pay to service it.
hey guys. the problem is that the blue ray reader is some how broken and it won't work. mine kept freezing during games like after 3 mins. and it wouldnt read any more discs for that day. you need to change the blue ray reader and that costs about 175$. thats alot of money and its probably not worth it.
