Elo 1724L (Dark Gray) 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor Logo

When it's turned on, the light on my monitor blinks but the screen doesn't display anything. Why might this be happening, and how can I fix it? Sampo LCD PD-80A monitor screen blinks on and off every 4 seconds. Screen comes fully on then off. Have opened and reseated all cables and still has the same problem. A good monitor hooked up to the same PC works fine. Have checked power supply on same monitor at work with no problems. On small narrow rectangular board mounted to back of metal LCD panel frame, you can hear a relay clicking on and off every 4 seconds. No parts look like they are toasted. Finger heat test doesn't indicate any component that is getting too hot and overheating.

My Hyundai ImageQuest L70S 17" LCD Monitor has the same problem of blinking on and off untill it stops working, all ecxept for the green power button light. I have checked the power cord, switched power cords, switched visual cable, used other monitor(no problem), checked video card. The problem is the monitor. If it is a relay that needs replacing someone tell me how to get the cover off this thing. There are four inverted screws (threads instead of trenches).

I just replaced the relay on my second-hand NEC2010X . It would go out after some period of time, but come back if I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. It finally died altogether, but when I replaced the relay, it worked fine. Apparently this relay is the weak link on many LCD's (probably the only moving part in the whole thing). So open it up, unsolder the relay, and put in a new one.

My monitor screen is black and the yellow standby light is blinking. I can not get the light to stop blinking or get the monitor to show anything, but a black screen. What can I do to coerrect the problem?

mcdevito75 here, Press the SHIFT key, a screen should come up telling you too click on your user name, left lower side of screen. If this doesn"t work, press the yellow blinking light on the monitor see if picture comes back, then follow the directions. If this doesn"t work, shut computer down with switch on the computer itself. Hope this helps.

I CANT GET MY MONITOR TO TURN ON

It could be the Monitor, the VGA adapter, or the PC itself. If you power on the monitor without anything connected to it, do you ever see anything on the display?

If not, it is probably the Monitor. If yes, it is likely the vga adapter and/or PC.

Monitor : no display and blue led light is blinking

The power supply is the first thing that the 110v electric line goes into. The invertor is the next item past the power supply, or sometimes contained within it. I do not thing monitors are a DIY repair.      First substitute a different monitor to confirm that it is, in deed , the monitor and not the video card.

they normally turn off like this when they aren't receiving a video signal from the pc (same as when you turn off the pc). make sure that it is connected properly, and that the video output is activated. try disconnecting from the other monitor while its on and connect the problem monitor...if it still isn't working then there may be a problem with the cable or the monitor itself. Try another VGA or DVI cable. Hope this helps

HD19A / 19-Inch light flickers but no display

One of 2 possibilities come to mind.

1,  The vga chord is loose on the back of the monitor.

2, Your resolution is set too high or low to be displayed.

The blinking light means that the monitor is either not getting or understanding a signal.

Hope this helps.
