I am trying to install this program for my 4 year old but it says my computer doesn't have enough video memory. It says I need at least 64mb. What can I do?
Finally able to install...Copy the contents to the CD into your hard drive, edit the Options.ini file so that it reads ShowVideoAdapterDetails=1. It will allow you to bypass the video memory check....Hope this helps

People - please read this document before posting questions on here. it answers quite a lot of the questions asked - particularly those asking for a replacement CD.

Hi we have fisher price digital arts and crafts studio, it is a brilliant product. we want to install it on a different computer but have misplaced the software cd!!! there are so many websites i just dont know which one to download from. could anybody reccommend to me please??
I have Windows vista

My problem:
When turning the toy ON, a "Just-In-Time Debugging" dialog window comes up displaying the error message: "An exception 'System.ObjectDisposeException' has occurred in DACS.EXE"
My Solution:
1. Bring the "Display Properties" dialog window (right-click on the desktop, click on Properties)
2. Click on the "Settings" tab. (make sure your screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768, and the color quality is 32 bits)
3. Click on the "Advance" button (this will bring a new dialog box)
On the newly opened dialog box:
4. Click on the "Troubleshoot" tab
5. Set the "Hardware acceleration" to "Full" (drag the slider all the way to where it says "Full")
6. Click "Apply", then "Ok" (this will close the dialog box)
7. Close the "Display Properties" dialog window by clicking on the OK button.
Try turning the toy ON now. I hope this helps.
Comment:
My problem was that DirectX was not enabled in my computer (Dell Latitude D505, 1GB RAM, 64MB video). And this is my fault as I remember playing with those settings some time ago.
Having said that, the error message reported by the debugging window is completely useless as it does not say what triggered the exception (programmers may recognize this kind of exception which occurs when you try to access an object that has been already disposed) There is no way that that error message helps solve the problem.
How did I find this solution?
The common theme in (most) of the problems reported here has to do with the video card/memory.
I followed fingers2007's suggestion of running DXDIAG and, in the "Display" tab, I noticed that:
a) "Approx. Total Memory" was set to "n/a"
b) The "DirectX Features" DirectDraw Acceleration, Direct3D Acceleration and AGP Texture Acceleration where all "Not Available" (turning DirectX on in my system only enables the first 2 --which seem enough to get DACS to work)
That is what led me to believe that DirectX was not enabled (fingers2007 mentions that if you have DirectX working you would see the word "enabled", though I did not see that in the DXDIAG window [?] )
I hope this helps and best wishes. [AREVIR]
I find it hard to believe this product works on any machine. i have setup a pc dedicated to this product for my kids. it has a brand new clean install of xp sp2, .net 2.0 and directx 9.0c installed. i am running in 1024x768 32bit and have 64mb of video memory with the latest display driver installed.
when i run dxdiag on the machine prior to installing/attaching dacs, everything checks out fine.
after installing and attaching dacs, dxdiag fails on directinput test - Faulting application dxdiag.exe, version 5.3.2600.2180, faulting module dinput8.dll, version 5.3.2600.2180, fault address 0x00016324.
research on the net for directinput issues shows they are always HID related - meaning this is Fisher Price's job to fix/patch their faulty HID implementation for this device.
further evidence: after installing DACS, device manager shows 2 new HID devices attached: "HID-Compliant device" and "USB Human Interface Device". when i disable the "HID-Compliant device" in the list and rerun dxdiag, it does *not* fail on directinput. unfortunately, disabling this device makes the unit not functional.
lastly, the hardware itself appears ok, as the console test app shows green circles on all input buttons/pads when both HID devices are enabled.
needless to say, my 5yr old daughter is looking at me like an idiot for the entire week of christmas. so happy to have spent 15 hours now researching and diagnosing and reinstalling software only to end up empty. my favorite is the 'coming soon' dacs update page on fisher price's site - if this crap wasn't ready for market, you should have labelled it BETA. you also should be hosting this discussion on your own site, not forcing us to clog up fixya. competitive market out there, this definitely plays into my product purchase decisions going forward.
EVERYONE HERE MUST SLAM THIS PRODUCT ON AMAZON - IT CURRENTLY HAS 4.5 POSITIVE RATING, MEANING MANY OTHER POOR SOULS WILL FIND THEMSELVES HERE WEEK AFTER WEEK HOPING FOR AN END TO THIS MISERABLE TORTURE.

I have tried the options.ini change. To do this, i copied the contents of the cd to my hard drive. But to make sure it grabbed the options.ini file, while looking at the contents of the cd, i had to use the menu: tools/folder options/view tab and choose the radio button to "show hiden files" and unchecked "hide protected operating system files".
however, for me, all this did was popup a message during install that confirmed my video driver name and that it had 64mb. my problem has never been installing it. so i don't think this solution applied to me.
Second, I have also tried renaming the .net framework folders. I was real excited about the potential that this was microsoft's fault, because it seemed to explain Fisher Price's complete neglect and disrespect for us customers out here. So, i uninstalled the product, disconnected it, renamed the .net folders, rebooted, verified dxdiag was working fine, installed from the hard drive using the modified options.ini, after install completed successfully, ran the console test app to verify everything was good, and pressed that yellow button for the 2,432nd time in 5 weeks. i almost cried with optimistic anticipation....
"Digital Arts and Crafts Studio Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost".
Bugger!!!!!! If that isn't the most insincere apology you've ever received.
My favorite part...there's no event in the application or system logs and it steals my taskbar now until i click ok.

WELL DONE TO ptfca.
That has worked. I had given my daughters favourite christmas present up as a bad job and was about to return it to Sant's toys r us!!!
I did as you said, renamed the directorys as you did and it works perfect!
I Have 1 HAPPY 4 year old girl!!!
I renamed:
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 to ZZv1.1.4322
and I renamed:
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 to ZZv1.0.3705
then I rebooted.
Thank you SO SO much for posting taht!
A big Thankyou to robert1247 for reposting these instructions from ptfca. It's beyond me how this works but it did for me. I spent over 4 hours trying to fix this error on my daughters computer, then I came accross this post. I will repost for others. renamed: c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 to ZZv1.1.4322 and I renamed: c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 to ZZv1.0.3705 then I rebooted.

I had the same problem when I have 128Mb Ram and I run software like Photoshop and Illustrator on my PC! What you need to do is to unplug the tablet and restart your computer, then set your display settings to 1024x768, 32bits colour. Reload the CD, plug the tablet when prompted and then it should run! It worked for me. Good luck! It's bit a bit of a nightmare to install but once it works it is really great!!! Cheers, Emmanuelle
Misery loves company! Glad I found this web page. Five year old crying. Dad swearing. Spent 5 hours uninstalling, reinstalling, trying to disable one of the two HIDs etc. Have a Dell with 3 gig processor and 2 gigs of RAM. Video card is 256 meg.
When I push the on button, the thing starts up - I get the intro with the FP logo etc. and then the screen turns white and everything freezes. FP sent my questions to their engineers.
Maybe I will hear back by next Christmas... In the meantime my 5 year old is bummed out.
I was having the same problem. I changed the options.ini file as suggested but it still would not run. Finally I found an update for my Video Card on line and installed it. Program will run now, but definately has some major flaws. It only runs for a certain period of time and the freezes up. I do not have 64 mb video card so maybe that is the problem with the freezing. Hope this helps. I know I had a very disappointed little girl here the last few days until I got it running.
Fisher price digital arts and crafts studio
Glad to see i not the only one with a problem with this equiptment .
Well i did have a problem until i put it on my pc to see if it was faulty goods.
It is essential that the software can access the net , to register and update.
check that your firewalls are not restricting this access.
Min spec requirements.
The Digital Arts & Crafts Studio requires certain minimum video card capabilities to run. These are:
- Compatibility with Microsoft DirectX 9
- 64MB or more Video RAM
If you are experiencing issues getting the software to run, or are having other odd on-screen behavior:
1) Turn off Digital Arts & Crafts Studio using the On/Off button in the back right corner of the console.
2) Make sure your display is set to 1024x768 and 32 bits per pixel. To do this, right click anywhere on your Desktop, select Properties, then click the Settings tab.
3) Check that your video card meets both of the above requirements by doing one of the following:
*Click Start, then Run, then type DXDIAG into the dialog box and click OK. Click on the resulting Display tab to find the display memory. The line "Approx. Total Memory" will tell you how much Video RAM you have. It will also let you know if you are DirectX compatible (you will see the word "enabled").
TO POSSIBLE CHANGE your video memory follow:
If you don't have enough Video RAM or are not DirectX 9 compatible, try one of the following:
*Check your video driver to see if you can adjust the amount of Video RAM (right-click on the Desktop, then select Properties, then Settings, then the Advanced button)
well hope this helps some very unhappy children as mine was ..
come on fisher-price more testing required and full software would be nice ...
as for it ....me daughter loves it .....!!!!!!!...
It seems to me that good digital art can be sold with nft. These are new spaces in order to develop in this style. By the way, there are many blogs with guides now. For example, you can take your time to read an article about top nft collections on TopNFTCollections website. For me, the information on that site was more than enough to understand the essence of these tokens. In addition, you will be able to understand how to work with platforms like opensea, look at other people's work and it will be a great inspiration for art.
Personally recommend you going www.acyberkey.com
to get product keys for your windows 7, keys in this site are of good quality and in low price.

Can anyone send me a copy of this software? Seems like it got lost within the big move.
Gday Paulalb,
You need a video card mate =) Simple as that, I'm assuming your useing the onboard video on your machines (where the monitor plugs in next to all the USB ports Network port and keybaord and mouse ports)
Your on board video wont have 64mb of video ram, So you need to upgrade your machine with a video card, Go to your local computer store, get them to find out if the video card needs to be AGP or PCIexpress and then just buy the cheapest they have to offer, you wont need much to run the digital arts and crafts studio but you do need that little bit more then your motherboard video can run.
Hi i bought the dacs but have found out my pc has only got 32mb not the required 64 can i work around this or do i have to buy a new graphics card plz help. thanks in advance
We got this product from toys r us in april its now may and we still cant get it on, when we took it back to toys r us as you do thinking only you could buy the only dud in the whole store, it installed fine silly me, I must have done something wrong, back home then to sort it out, in my dreams, right back the shop, we got same problem again we told them, they suggest that we check our pc spec' i told them we had already done that and it passed the lot, so we had none of them fobbing us off £50 is £50, so they sent it off to QA to be tested, WE had to phone them half a dozen times and one month later they say oh its been here for two weeks sorry and that was today got home and what do you know its still not working so i look round on net for help and here i am reading a whole bunch of posts about the same thing, someone has got to take the blame for this and FISHER PRICE stand out as the first choice candidate.
Any help I can not find the CD that came with my daughter Digital Arts & Crafts Studio can any one email me a copy or tell me where to find it?
On vista 64bit you need to uninstall netframework 1 and hotfix as vista has net 2 installed as default
Lots of problems with this thing. I also had the problem where it said I had <64MB video card (but I have a 128 MB). I was able to work around this by just rebooting clean and reinstalling.
Next problem... it worked one time for me, then the next day I couldn't get it to launch. Rebooted, renamed the .net framework directories other than the 2.0xxxx one that someone suggested, and rebooted, this still didn't work on it's own. NOTE: if you have trouble renaming one of those, do ctrl-alt-delete, click on processes tab, and then find the process named "DACSMiniApp.exe, select it, and click End Process. Then you can rename it.
After a clean reboot, and all that, I still couldn't get it to work, so I unplugged it and plugged it in again to a different usb port and it worked. Hopefully someone else may have limited success with this as well.
I GOT IT!
Firstly, I am a systems analyst and I want to say this software is clearly not ready for release. However, after 2+ hours of screwing around with it, I finally got it to work.
Solution #7 is the answer. Go to add/remove programs. Get rid of ANY AND ALL .net framework applications/hotfixes you see there. Completely uninstall the fisher price software. Reboot. Then go back in and re-install the fisher price software. Note that this time, it will do some .net software configuring (which it would not do before) before it actually begins the install.
I'm 37 years old and I have to admit now that I got through the installation hell, the thing is fun to play with!
As for the issue of not seeing a 64mb video card, once I reinstalled directx 9c (win 2000) it finally decided to recognize the video. But I am still unable to get the thing working, everytime I do the test the software "stops responding"
still troubleshooting
I am also getting the same problem as Solution #5. There seems to be 4 or 5 screens and it's very jerky. I had no problems with freezing or debugging or installing, like other people seem to have. Utility testing came out fine. Installed all updates, uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Changed the names of Microsoft.NET folders. Nothing seems to work. In fact, after I installed the Windows updates, the computer kept getting to the desktop, then immediatly rebooted itself, over and over, until I went into safe mode and restored it to yesterday.
So any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I got mine to work!
I was getting the "Common Language Runtime Debugging error".
Looks like the lousy .NET Framework was to blame. I had 1.1 installed and it appears the program installs a hotfix *and* 2.0.
I uninstalled *everything*. The Studio software, NET 2.0, the hotfix, and NET 1.1.
Reboot, and reinstall from the CD and presto, it's working
I got a line on the problem while searching for the error type online. One site talked about how apps written in one version can act funky when run in another, even newer version. The suggestion was to reinstall the exact same version of NET Framework the software is written in.
I'm guessing that they never cared to test it in any other version than 2.0.
Hope that can help someone else!
I have it installed and running somewhat. When you select a template or background it displays multiple, and I mean multiple layers to the point it is unrecognizable. When you draw with the stylus you get 4-5 simultaneous iterations which all vanish when you lift the pen. After a while the cursor becomes very jerky as the multiple layers bog down the system. Audio is okay. Opening screens and utilities are fine. Test utility idicates everything functional. Seems when it is required to handle layers, the problems start for me.
I have an Intel Celeron 3.3 Ghz 512M ram 64M video card. I have gotten all driver updates, loaded and reloaded program. Tried different USB ports. Changed hardware acceleration and screen resolution. Talked to cust service. They said I've done everything they can advise me too.
Have sent them log files that will get passed on to the software guys. Still waiting. I think it is in the software, at least for me.
btw: I don't want to have to changed my resolution everytime the kids want to play it. The program should do that automatically. Most other games do. They can handle plugging it in and pushing the on button, but I don't want them getting into desktop properties.
Here is the direct tech support line for Fischer Price and the DACS. 1 888 892 6123.
I contacted consumer relations and they redirected me to this number. Haven't tried them yet but thought I would pass it along to the other disappointed consumers.
When I installed it on my pc it caused a problem with all of my 3D PC games (NBA LIVE 07, Madden 07). When I would go to start these games I would get an application error. At first I wasnt sure whether my video card was going bad or what. I repaired windows from the setup disk, and the games worked again. However, when I reinstalled the arts and crafts studio the problem came back. I have come to the conclusion that I will not be able to install this software on my PC and will have to tell my 6 year old that Santa brought him a bum toy.
I have problem also on my windows vista Basic. I have a promt seing the video adapter driver is not properly installed or is not compatible. Any sugestions?
Thank you
Can this product run on mac osX?
It depends on your video card and your ram memory. It is hard to tell you what to do without knowing your windows platform and the computer specs.
If you can tell me the platform I may be able to help you. Is it xp, or 2000, or 98 etc.
If you have xp, hit 'start', 'control panel' and then 'system' and it will tell you what the computer is.
Re post that information, especially the RAM and processor.
I don't like that it starts-up as soon as I turn my PC on and I don't like that it placed an icon in my systems tray. The program is a complete memory hog and if I didn't love my son so much I would uninstall the whole friggin thing.

I am also having this problem. I'm running on XP, service pack 2, Pentium III processor, 996 Mhz, 512 MB RAM.
i have 64 mb of video ram and it still says i dont have enough. i am running xp sp2
Ditto and I have an anxious 4 year old wanting to play on Xmas morning. I'm thinking its looking at the Graphics Memory in Use instead of Maximum. How do I trick the install? Boost the memory in use to 64MB to get past this check!

i have a crying 4 year old now. I have a dell comp, runs windows xp.
I have am unable to try the latest solution of modifying the "options, ini" file since I cannot  find that file on the cd supplied with the product.  Any other ideas. (I too am getting the Video Memory msg)
Has anybody been able to get this Digital Arts and Crafts Srudio to work??? I had the same error message about the video ram so I changed the options.ini file as suggested and was able to instal the software but now it wont start up when unit is turned on?????
hi, same problem, im on windows xp home, and acording to my pc, i only have 32mb of video memory, however i have tried to install it on a brand new laptop and it still wont work.
I am also having an issue with the Digital Arts Studio, I have Windows XP, 2.2 Ghz with 64 Video Ram. After install I receive an error message Fatal Execution (0x7927e03e). When I search for this error it states an issue with the .net framework. Has anyone heard of this issue?
I am also having the video memory problem... "This computer does not have enough Video Memory to run the Digital Arts and Crafts Studio. A minimum of 64 MB is required." I copied the contents of the CD onto my hard drive, but there is no Options.ini file. Just a DirectX folder, AutoRun and setup, all contained within a folder called M1854 1.0.0 (D). Options.ini is not found inside the DirectX folder.
I am also having a problem with this. Mine installs and works fine for a little bit and then the stylus freezes up. You can still hear the arts studio talking. I have to ctl, alt, delete to start again. Then after a few more rounds of this it completely will not work and then when I reboot my computer I get the debugging error. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled two or three times and this process still keeps happinging. I called Fisher Price this am and we uninstalled and reinstalled with them. THey said that it must be because I am using windows vista and something isn't jiving!! I am very frustrated and so is my 6 yr old!!
Everything installs just fine, but the app will not launch. I did everything in the readme and ran the test app, still nothing happens when I hit the on/off button. Running windows XP, 2Ghz, 1G of RAM, 64video RAM. Has anyone figured this out?
well i have sort of the same problem, my computer says..(( Error 1305.Error reading from file C:\Program Files\Fisher -Price\DACS\Base\Art\00_Intro&Poster\A1STFRM003.png. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. )) what can i do for this not to show? how do i find if the file is there? can someone please help me?
Yes also having the same problems (memory error messages). We have tried it on two seperate computers. I can't believe Fisher-Price won't do anything. They could add a patch/correction...or something on their website free to download to fix it if they cared! Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.
I have problem the same problem on my windows vista. I have a promt saying the video adapter driver is not properly installed or is not compatible. Any sugestions? I Have plenty of video ram and running the direct X 10 (instead of 9 that the program calls for).....and I keep getting the same error about video adapter driver is not properly installed or not compatible.....any help would be awesome...my little girl is wanting to play with her christmas gift.
Thanks!
I am having major problems with mine, i have a VERY dissapointed little girl waiting to play on it! I installed it all and it worked fine, but on christmas morning it just would not work??????? I am not very good with computors and my skills are very basic so ANY simple advice would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!
i am still having problems with digital arts studio after following the advice from the kind people who are trying to sort this out.i install the cd in the hard drive then the arts studio cd appears in the task bar.i then switch on the game and after approximately 5 minutes of my 5 year old child playing with the toy it just freezes.if anyone could help i would appreciate this very much.thanks a lot fisher price 3 days and 2 different art studios and still my child cant play with his toy.
JUNK. Will not install, says video adapter driver is not properly intalled or not compatible. Fisher Price suggested I call Compaq to walk me thru re-installing video driver, which I did. Still will not go after reinstalling. plenty of memory remaining--128 MB. ((The disc says Version 1.0.0-for use with Windows 2000 and XP. I have vista but the tech at Fisher Price ASSURES me that it IS vista compatible even though there is no mention of vista on the disc.)) We tried a bunch of stuff, nothing works. She will forward the problem to her 'other techs' and if I haven't heard anything in 72+ hours I will need to call back....Unbelievable. I will return it ASAP.
My problem is not exactly similar, but it concerns the same program (Fischer Price Digital A&C Studio). I got it to install, but the MiniApp crashes whenever the computer boots, or I try to launch it.
I get a pop-up that reads:
-----------------------
DASCMiniApp.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0x748(1864). Thread id=0x6a0(1696).
-----------------------
I've uninstalled/reinstalled the program. I've repaired both the .NET framework and DirectX.
When I run dxdiag, the diagnostic crashes when it gets to DirectInput. So I started pulling everything attached via USB and when I pull the Studio tablet, the diagnostic no longer crashes.
So, any ideas?
Is this two different problems?
1. The software generating an exception and then tanking.
2. The Studio tablet crashing DirectX diagnostic.
Or are they both connected?
This is awful, my son really wants to play with it. He sees me using my wacom tablet all the time. (Could there be an issue with having that installed *and* this?).
Thanks for any help.

I have also had this problem, again leading to a very disappointed 7 year old this christmas. I changed down the resoulution on our computer to the figures given on the box, disrupting everything else we normally use on screen only to find that although it now loads and works temporarily it then freezes the whole computer during use.
I have the same problem as Evilwayne and I have attempted several repairs. I have delt with the active X controls, re-installed the program, tried to update it online (will not work) etc. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition 32bit. If there is anything you can do to help please do. I have a three year old girl that is dying to play this.
I am having a problem installing the software, somebody please help me, every time a try to install it, it says error: configuring microsoft (R) .net framework, I don't know what to do.
I have Windows vista
Intel(R) Core9(TM) 2 cpu 6600 @ 2.40GHz
2046MB RAM
Direct X 10
NIVIDIA GeForce 7500 LE = 1017MB approx memory
Still cant get it to install!! Have phoned many times and they've sent me emails for graphics card driver updates but still no luck. When I reach the stage where it tries to locate the digitalarts and craft studio it tried 10 times before telling me to try again and then phone the customer support. I have tired all usb ports and it is not connected through a usb hub.
Anyone got any info on how to get it working? Customer support doesnt seem to have a clue!!!
Help - Cheers
I purchased this product but I lost the CD. Would anybody be so kind to help me by allowing me to download a copy of his CD (Maybe using rapidshare or a similar service)?
Santa gave this present to my daughter and I'm still not able to install it for her.
If you want to contact me please email me at [email protected].
Thanks.
Its telling me my computer don't have enough memory but my computer have more than enough memory . i tried it on all my computers still didn't work
I have the same problem with the DACS. I am running:
Windows Vista Ultimate w/ All Current Updates and DX 10
Pentium 4 Dual Core @ 2.8 Gz
4 GB DDR2
AGP GeForce4 MX 440 AGP dual VGA-out 64 mb RAMDAC
This product is absolute junk... just goes to show you that maybe FP should stick to making Cabbage-Patch dolls and not foray into electronics land.
Update: while (previously) writing this, I had IDA-Pro debug the software initialization. DACS crashed IDA pro and caused a BSOD on my system because the DACS software had attempted to overwrite kernel-space memory (or so IDA indicated on reboot)
I have Vista Home Premium, 958MB RAM, with DirectX 10 enabled. Meet all the minimum requirements for Digital Arts & Crafts Studio, but I keep getting the same problems, despite returning the product for a new one and reinstalling the software 2-3 times. The stylus freezes after a few minutes of use. What a shame b/c it looks like it has a lot of potential and my 7 year old artistic daughter is dying to play with it....
i have been trying on 2 different computers 1 only 5 months old and still getting thesame message not enough memory daughters driving me mad wanting to paly it as well
Can't find the options.ini file? I had trouble with this too. When you look on the cd it is not listed. However, if you run a different utitlity, like a cd burner and ask to look at files to burn (but not really burn them), all of the files will be showed from the cd, including the options.ini file. Then, instead of actually burning a cd, you can highlight all the files and copy them to your harddrive. This will allow you to update the options.ini file. Hope this helps! I was going crazy trying to get around the video memory problem and it took me several hours on Christmas day to find this file.
had the same problem where an error box popped up at system startup saying that the DACSMiniapp.exe had an error. wasted an entire day on it but finally got it to work. the DACS software apparently needs Windows .NET framework 2.0 to run, but it will fail like this if it finds .NET framework 1.1 installed on the machine too. I had another program (Norton Ghost 9,0) that needed .NET 1.1 to be installed, so what I did is I hid the .NET 1.1 directory by renaming it. Now both the Fisher-Price and the Norton seem to be happy.
I renamed:
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 to ZZv1.1.4322
and I renamed:
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 to ZZv1.0.3705
then I rebooted.
I am trying to install the Digital Studio on a Dell w/ Vista. My computer says it finds the hardware and the driver, but the driver install fails and says that the "Parameter is incorrect". Anybody else gotten this?
i am trying to install the digital arts and crafts and it is saying my computer does not have the 64mb necessary. I ran it on Christmas and it worked and then is stopped working. What can I do.
I have a problem with digital arts and craft studio, seems to install ok but will only start up when the usb adaptor is plugged in and not from the on/off button.
Everything then works, until, the paint bucket button is pressed and it then
either freezes completely or freezes for a second and then carries on without having done anything.
Any ieas ???
I am having similar issues. The install goes fine, all the hardware checks out, but when the button is pushed to turn it on I get "Digital Arts and Crafts Studio has experienced an issue and needs to close" nothing else. Not even sure where to begin to look for this "issue" to fix it.
I have checked all the video settings, run DXDIAG. Can't find anything wrong.
Having the same problem despite the fact that my computer definitely does have the requisite video memory (64 Mb). Any tips?
I actually experienced the same problems on the 2 machines that I installed the software..But, something much worse occured...After trying this on both machines, each machine has had a hard-drive failure and I had to re-install the operating system...
Has anyone else experienced this problem..? This is rediculous..My 6 year oldf wanted to use this present from Christmas, but it has only caused problems.

Re: solution 7
How would you go about uninstalling this?
Post included below.
I bought this toy for my 4 year old and i didnt get the CD can anyone send me the base installation to my email?

A big Thankyou to robert1274 for reposting these instructions from ptfca.
