The video shows one way, but the easy way is open it with the back up key, and the battery compartment is in the door. Replace the batteries and reset the combination, but make sure you do it with the door open.

Dannielle, if the previous owner installed the radio, it must have worked. It is possible that error code may have no connection with the replaced radio which may work when connected to battery. It depends on the complexity of the new radio. If it is simple, s/b ok.

I replaced the battery in a VW key fob with an exact match of the dead battery I found in it. The fob worked again but the new battery lasted only 1 day. I checked the manual and discovered that the wrong battery had been installed by the previous owner and I had repeated that mistake. I installed the correct battery and it has worked fine ever since. I suggest that you double check to be sure you are installing the correct replacement batteries.

its most probably in LOCK mode..

its a anti theft device..and yes, the radio locks up..WHEN THE BATTERY IS CHANGED..or when battery power is lost (ie dead battery)..

check the owners manual, for the code, or ask the previous owner if he know s the code..or lastely...and i hate to say it...go to dealer..

stalling is from MAP SENSOR or Throttle Posiotion Sensor. and the dash and lite issue is b/c ur head light switch is going bad.

take it to mercedes to be honest it will require re programming on their computer with the four figure code they will have but will not give it out so you could do it with a mobile call out man

Have you tried replacing the memory modules? Memory incompatability or a bad simm, will create the symptoms, you describe. Also, restore the BIOS settings to "fail-safe," if possible. Often the "Default settings," are not as "tolerant," as fail-safe. I had a similar issue with ASUS and LanParty motherboards. It was a bad SIMM.
