Air leak in 98 platinum

I am repairing a tippmann 98 platinum edition, it leaks when gassed up through where the Steel braid air line meets the valve/powertube. How do I stop the leak and what parts or o-rings do I need to do it??

First you will need to know exactly the point where is liking from. I suggest you the powertube out and connected directly to the line so you can see what part is failing. After that there is no o-rings or anything involved so you would have to replace the part. It could be the line the powertube, or the valve. Sounds like you need a new line. Are you sure it is leaking from the middle, and not seeping down to the middle from one end? Is one end plastic? And if so, did you use teflon tape?

Starts easy but dies after a couple seconds

Does the primer pump maintain a fuel supply when running.? If not then you probably still have an air leak somewhere between the tank and the carb.

Could be fuel starvation, check carb High Low needle settings and disphrams.

My tippman 98 act is leaking at the top part of the hose where it meets the valve. i dont know how to fix it and is thier something supposed to be there? becuase it is just metal against metal.

Try tightening the hose, if that doesn't work degas the marker and take that fitting off and add 1 or 2 layers of Teflon tape and then reattach the fitting. Make sure to not cross-thread the fitting.

Gas leak drivers side door area

Most likely the braided fuel hose,from the steel line to the flex, has rusted at the connection. That hose won't be avail at the dealer. You will have to remove at the fuel rail and where it is leaking, and make up your own.
Problem is finding the push-on connectors,not having braided hose and heat issues.

I have an IR SS5L5. We have developed a leak at discharge tube

SOunds like your compression fittings have failed on the copper line. I recommend changing over to a stainless steel braided flexable line. Try www.mastertoolrepair.com they have the stainless hoses.

Yes, you can use a compressed air tank on a Tippmann 98 custom. 48ci 3K psi tanks can be purchased for around $30.

I just bought a new tippmann 98 custom act platinum edition and it doesnt seem to be firing right. i upgrades the rear bolt and trigger and after a few shots the bolt lock in the firing position. if i pull...

I would look in to the bolt and check that it moves freely, also check that is properly lubed, and finally that your upgrade bolt does not need a different spring. I would also check the batteries on the grip if it is an E-trigger.

My tipmann 98 stopped shooting. I plug in the air, but when i pull the trigger only a tiny bit comes out, barely enough to propel the ball. What's wrong with it? P.S. it isn't a leak
