To get celluar frequencies on bc350c 800mhz 100 channel scanner.

How can I recieve celluar frequencies on my 800mhz bc350c 100 channel scanner. What specifically can I do?Do I need to modify
it?And if so,How,and what do I need to do?Can it be programmed
in any way to recieve these celluar frequencies? Is there anything
I can purchase to be able to recieve them?If there is no way to do
it with this scanner or no way to purchase anything to hook up to
this scanner to recieve them. What specific scanner could I buy to
recieve them? And where would I be able to purchase it at?
I did hear that some models out of the U.S. have non-blocked
celluar scanners.Would I be able to purchase one in Canada?
Thank You for reading this summary of my issue.

Jason Merlo

Jason,

You can no longer listen to cell phones with police scanners as all cell phones are now digital. Years ago when cell phones were using the 800mhz band it was possible. But only with select older models of scanners such as the BC-200XLT and after an internal modification to allow tuning of 860-880 mhz range. I do believe there is equipment out there that can listen to digital cell phones but its very expensive ($10,000) and only for law enforcement use. Hope this answers your question.

I have a uniden bearcat scanner 30 channel i would like to know if it is possable to add any software or chip to make it able to pick up aircraft frequencies ? ...

Sorry, but it's been a long time since scanners could be modified to extend or change their frequency coverage. The AIR band in your BC350C allows you to monitor commercial, private, and some military aircraft. If you want full military air coverage though, I suggest that you look at the reasonably-priced BC370CRS.

Is there a video on how to manually program the bearcat scanner BC355C 100 channel to put in my area frequency into the scanner?

Sorry, but there is no such video that I know of. Besides that, your BC355C is not a programmable scanner in the standard sense, in that you cannot enter frequencies via the keyboard. You can, however, transfer a displayed frequency from the SCAN or SEARCH mode into the PRIVATE bank. Fairly simple instructions are in the factory manual that you can download and print, at no cost, here:

Uniden Bearcat BC 350A scanner won't pick up 800 channels

You BC350A provides coverage of popular bands between 29 and 512MHz, so it is not capable of receiving signals in the 800MHz range. Sorry, but you'll need a different scanner to follow the action.

I have a bc145xl and i dont know how to put in my frequency channels i got

I couldn't locate a manual for you, but the 16-channel BC145XL is a fairly typical Uniden scanner.

Turn the scanner power ON.

Press the MANUAL button to stop scanning.

Press the MANUAL button repeatedly to advance to the channel that you wish to program.

Enter the frequency that you wish to program, including the decimal point. Frequency range of your scanner is 29-54, 136-174, and 406-512MHz.

Press E (Enter) to cpmlete the process.

To continue programming, press MANUAL to advance to the next channel, and start the steps again.

How to pick up cell phone frequencies on scanner.

I had a scanner with 800mhz .. programed it to scan from 900.000
to 800.000 .. between those freqs. ..found several calls ... from cell phones .. but that was not what I was looking for ... I just ran into it by accident.

Police Officers ...from all agencies .. monitor cell phones .. all the time so if it illegal for citizens to do it , it should be for them also but I under the impression judges turn a blind eye to that fact.

How do i clear all channels and start over putting in new ones

There is no global clear/erase function on the BC350C, but programming a new frequency on a channel automatically deletes/erases the old frequency. To delete an inactive or troublesome frequency, program "000.0" in that channel. Doing so will deleted the previously programmed frequency and set the LOCKOUT to ON for that channel. For more information on deleting frequencies, see page 27 of your operating manual.

How do you clear all channels so i can put the channels that i want in it

There is no need to clear the scanner before reprogramming. When you enter a new frequency it will automatically overwrite the old frequency. To clear unwanted frequencies you can program "0.0" into any channel to clear it, or simply use the LOCKOUT feature to prevent the scanner from stopping on a channel.

Need to know how to put codes in

If your scanner is the BC350C (the section you posted in), here's a link to the owner's manual which will give you detailed programming information:

http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BC350Com.pdf

If you have a different model Bearcat scanner, try:

1. Push MANUAL to stop scanning and advance to the channel that you want to program.

2. Enter the desired frequency, including the decimal point (e.g., 156.015).

3. Press E or ENTER to set the frequency.

4. Repeat the process, starting with 1 above to select the channel.

NOTE: With some Bearcat scanners you may need to press the E or ENTER key before entering your frequency.

These are general steps that work on most recent Bearcat models. If they don't work on yours, try different variations. You can also check Uniden.com -- they may have an online manual that you can download and print.
