Hi! MY Microsoft Wireless notebook optical mouse 3000 has stopped working but the battery is is still fine and i have already tried chaning the usb port and pressing the connection button. I am temporarily using the default touchpad on my notebook, its a pain in the neck! please help!!!!!!!!

Press the button on the receiver and then on the mouse. Hopefully that will do it.
Also recheck to see if the batteries are good as some have a syhort shelf life.

I had the same problem.
Press the button on the underside of the USB, the green light will flash. Now press the reset button on the underside of the mouse. Your mouse should now work.

Simply push the silver oval button below the word "Microsoft" and the cover will spring open.

YOur mouse needs to be paired with the transceiver. THere is normally a button on the part which goes inot the laptop. Press it once then flip the mouse and press its button once. It will then work hopefully :)

On the adapter there is a small red button. This button must be pushed, then the red button on the bottom of the mouse must be pushed. The mouse light should blink and you should be able to use it.
