Error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\D during a paging operation

Hii,

I too had lost some of my docx file due to corruption so due to this reason i used Docx File Repair. This software scans the corrupted file and repair corrupt docx i.e. rebuilds a brand new one. Any user may get over internet for trial usage.

I am getting corruption in MS Word files. Text disappears on the screen before my eyes. I checked the Event Viewer/System and saw it is registering Warnings about Disk problems and cites error 51. This is...

you could run the check disk utility
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive or
go to control panel administrive tools computer management you can right click on the drive select properties tools check now?tick in both boxes to scan for and repair/recover any bad sectors and automaticall fix any corrupt files
in xp
hope this helps

Since I connected a Seagate Replica 500GB Hard Drive, I started receiving multiple Error 51 Events in my Windows Event log. They state: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR9 during a paging...

First, extract all data that you have on the hard-drive, while you still can.

Seagate's web-site suggests that you first download and run Seagate's "Drive Fitness Tool", which exercises the disk-drive, and produces a "fitness" report. If it fails, then delete all your "private" files, and either take the drive back to the retail location where you bought it, or get an RMA (Return Materials Authorization) from Seagate, to get permission from Seagate to return the drive to them, for them to analyze the disk, and probably replace it.

Inspiron 8500 laptop (80GB) intermittant boot failure

Hi

Thank you for your query

If there is a clicking noise inside then the hard drive is on the way out, the arm that reads the data is knocking against the plates, thus the noise

I would recommned that you back your data as soon as possible as the drive will eventually fail

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful
