HUGE SCRATCHES ON NEW PANASONIC PLASMA TC-P50V10

Help. My husband just bought a new Samsung 50" 50V10 plasma TV and my cat decided to use it as a playground landing on it from an upper shelf and scratching badly the screen.
I read in the forum similar problems: was someone able to solve them with the solutions suggested?
My husband is gonna kill me (together with the cat).

Tks
Paola

Hi, I have a Panasonic TC-P50S2 Viera Plasma TV that has died. Basically Iwant to know if this is worth the time and $$ to repair? Are parts available for me to DIY this?

Good make and it is an HD model with good reviews. It is about 10 years old. It really depends of if fancy a new one or not.

I don't advise against home television repair. We see about 10 questions a day here of people who replace boards and still have a non working television. You need the experience and the test equipment.

I have a Panasonic TC-P50V10 and I got the "won't turn on three blinking lights" I got my hands on a service manual and diagnosed the problem as a faulty A Board: TXN/A1DRUUS. Of course no place on the...

Actually, troubleshooting and repairing a Plasma display is a very skilled work. Everybody thinks that, it is nothing difficult case, and can do it easily for everyone, like a dress change. These devices have the most updated technology, and all are working with software support. Even an experienced service technician might take some time to locate the exact faulty component. I'm doing the service work, since 40 long years, still doing the same.
Keep in mind, that, to the device before you, and which you're trying to repair, you should have enough practical experience in servicing it.
It is not a toy. Never make it irreparable. Do you think that a plasma TV, works only with some capacitors on its circuit. Don't you see any other components on its circuit board? Each and every component you see in the circuit board, have its own duty, when the set is switched on. If any one of them is faulty, the picture will show its consequences.
Mr: Charles, this is not an easy work to do for you. Contact any service technician, or contact the authorized service centre for Panasonic.
If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.
