I insert a DVD into my Dell Inspiron 530S and it does not play. Is my dell suppose to play DVDS?

You may need to download some DVD player programs because normal video players won't be able to play DVDs. There are some DVD player programs such as Leawo Blu-ray Player, which is a Blu-ray and DVD player for both Windows and Mac. You can also try GOM player.

Generally the Dell 530's shipped with DVD burners, so they also play DVD's, You should have a program on your system like Intervideo, or possibly the Roxio player. If nothing else, you will have Windows Media player.

insert another dvd. if same happens then restart the computer and try once more .
..again fails please reinstall the driver or shutdown the computer .
open the cabin unplug and reconnect the code to dvd drive
