Samsung LCD Screen powers up for 1 minute then the screen goes black. Other times the screen will power up and work fine all day but as soon as you turn it off then on the screen will stay on for a minute then go black. What would be causing this?

Most likley there are some bad capacitors that need to be replaced in the power supply, in particular the ones that are "10 volt" types. As a tech...I LOVE to see these sets and or//power supply boards come in as it is "easy and quick money for me" and a quick and lasting repair for the customer. A decent shop should be able to repair your PS board for under 350, in home service.

There are several things that could cause this. You could have a faulty backlight inverter(s), faulty 24V output from the power supply, failing backlight bulb(s), high voltage arcing from the inverter outputs, or a fault with the main board. I would recommend a diagnosis

Kindly attach the screen to your another system or note pc. Else being a simple device it contains only three main parts.
1) Panel
2) Power supply + HVPS
3) Main board
need to be tested one by one.
I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
