Right click on desktop and chose Properties. Select : Color Quality and chose the appropiate depth color you need (16bit, 32bit etc.). Usually the higher, the better. Color depth is limited by the specifications of your video card.

Changing my colour on desktop

You'll have to run the game in compatibility mode, with the color depth set to 256 colors.

You do this by right clicking on the executable of your game. click on Properties. Compatibility tab. Click the check to run compatibilty w/ Window 98, and set the color depth to 256 Color. That should work! Happy gaming.

Right click on the desktop anywhere there is clear space.
Select Display properties and then select the last tab at the top of the window that pops up.

Screen colors

possibly screen color depth is set to 16 colors. - open control panel display - settings tab, slide the color depth to 16 bit. - change resolution to 800 x 600 for now. reboot and see if that does the trick, then readjust settings to your tastes.
