Hello.. 2 things we need to address here:

1. How to access voice mail account:

Access VM: Press 1:
Easy way to access your voice message system is to go to the dialer pad on your phone and press down on the "1" key until your voice messaging system announces

or you can dial your phone number to get to your voice mail

2. Change Call Setting, go to:
Dialer > (3 dots) Select Settings > Call > (scroll down) Select More Settings > Call Forwarding > Voice Call > then change to Always Forward (turn off)

try using the last four digits of your phone number.

u call ur own cellphone number then...
click a # when it says something like settings or greeting messages and personal options then u record a greeting message which is what i believe is ur voicemail im not positive but i believe this is corect

dial #793# and press send.

Then wait a few seconds and the call will reset your voicemail password. The voicemail password will then be the last 4 digits of your phone number. Be sure to change it once you've logged back into your voicemail.

Sorry to hear about what happened. What I would do is... Try the last 4 of your phone # or full 10-digit #. If that doesn't work, you can log in online @ verizonwireless.com under your My Verizon account and reset your voicemail password, OR call the Customer Service IVR or talk to a rep to reset it. To enter voicemail, press the Voice Message Key, the pass code will be set in default to 0000. Your mailbox will not function properly until you have put your voice message on. To do this, press option 0, followed by 5 followed by 7. When you have got the message you require press the #. If you regularly change your voicemail message, you must press 3, delete the original message and reset the message followed by the #.

Click on Menu=>Messages, scroll down to Voicemail. Now push the Men button (TOP button above round dial, center). Scroll down to Voicemail Setup and hit select. Put your cellphone # in (you may need to include the 1 first). Now you can retrieve messages by holding down the #1 button or the CALL button from the message screen.
