Hollow ice cubes are accomplished by premature cube ejection...
The best GENERAL information on ICE-Makers
is appliance-aid (SEE below).
Adjustment details SHOULD be in your OWNERS Manual.
There are two adjustments hidden on MOST ice-makers.
- One controls fill time (SIZE: bigger/smaller cubes)
- Yours would be cube FIRMNESS
(hollow = not completely frozen).
The water inside the cubes should also be causing
"clumping" issues in the "BIN"... (I just saying).
Icemaker Repair Help
Not enough water is being pumped into the icemaker. The water pressure in the water line coming into the refrigerator may be too low, perhaps due to a blockage somewhere.
Move the refrigerator enough to get behind it. Turn off the water at the small valve which connects the water line from the house plumbing to the tube going into the refrigerator. Get a bucket. Remove the refrigerator water line from the on-off valve (there should be a compresson nut holding it on). Point the incoming water line into the bucket and open the valve. Do you have a good flow of water? If so, either there is a blockage in the tubing within the refrigerator or the water valve at the bottom of the back of the refrigerator is malfunctioning.
