I have a Kodak CX7430 and lately the batteries are running out quickly. I have tried the rechargeable batteries, they don't work. Sometimes I can put new batteries in and they won't work at all. I am thinking something is wrong with the camera but not sure what to do. Please help.

I have the same exact problem. A red light flashes by the view finder and a green light flashes next to the off/on, etc "wheel". New batteries, new rechargable batteries. Nothing works. Occassionally it will extend the lens but the cover won't open. Now it just flashes those lights and goes dead.
I have the exact same problem with the CX7430. If anyone figures this out, please email me. Thanks!
I have the same problem. After reading all the blogs, I am going to buy some lithium batteries? We let you know!
Our CX7430 was getting very demanding with batteries, finally only flashing green and red lights and powering off even with new digital camera batteries. THEN I REMOVED THE SD MEMORY CARD and it powered up!
Yup, exact same problem as everyone else. Was thinking about buying the rechargeable battery, but then realised I would need the charger to go with it, which all comes to about £25-30!! Ridiculous. Don't wanna buy another camera, just want this one to work.
VERY SHORT BATTERY LIFE. HAVE TO USE AT LEAST 4 SETS OF BATTERIES EVERY TIME I USE THIS CAMERA. RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES NO SOLUTION.
same problem , my camera just died , I tried new batteries but nothing changed....
When I power it on the green and red lights both flash 10 times; then it powers itself off. And these are new rechargeables!
