There should be a button or option for TA. Switch it off to avoid Traffic announcements and news.

UNWANTED TRAFFIC NEWS

Traffic news breaking in is to do with the RDS settings. If their is a setting or button marked "EON TA" try pressing it or making certain it is not selected.

Were there any recalls on gas cap on the 2001 V Star 650 The lock mechanism fll apart

No, there are not. I reviewed Yamaha's complete list of Service Bulletins, which includes recalls, and there is not any bulletin addressing the issue your bike has. I have heard of it before, where the screws fall out and the lock mechanism falls off, but I have not seen a bulletin on that subject.
The good news would be, at least they fell into the tank where you can get them out and reassemble your cap. It would be a good idea to mentally note the screws that hold the mechanism together from now on anytime you gas the bike up.

Hang on refresh database

I had the "Refresh Database" problem with my C250, it just sat there after turning it on! However, the GOOD NEWS is, I corrected it! First I connected it to my PC, then FORMATTED the unit. This gave me an empty player that at least would turn on. Then I downloaded the Sansa "Updater" from the SanDisk website. After setting up the updater software, I connected the C250. It automatically checked for any new firmware, and loaded it into the player. After that I restarted the C250 and it again came up OK without any music loaded. The last thing I did was to load only 1.8 GB worth of music files. My take on the problem is that if you overload the memory, or interupt a file while loading, then the "datbase" function never gets done. I've had mine running for about a week now without problems! Hope it works for you too! <Good Luck> David

HELP ME PLZ

That's a pretty weird problem. The only suggestion I can give you is to check to make sure the music you put on was 1) in mp3 or wav format and 2) if this is music you have purchased, to ensure you have the rights properly set to play the music
