DU error code - Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer

He's not talking about a washing machine. It's a laboratory spectrophotometer posted in the wrong section.You'll have to send it for diagnosis and repairs. Our lab's 520 gave the same error. Estimated repair: $2-5000.

DU = Door Unlock code

Washing machine displays error code F/DU after six attempts to unlock.
-Door lock assembly failed.
-Test door lock switch
-Visually inspect wire harness connection on CCU, Door lock assembly, replace door lock assembly.

The door lock assemble on this washing machine can be replaced from either the top of the front. The door boot can be removed or the top of the washer can be removed.

Door unlock error. The machine tried 6 times to unlock the door. Must be an item of clothing jamming the door. take the bottom panel off and reach up and grab the emergency ring, GENTLY release the door amigo. Use this GUIDE for repairs

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water
entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the
error code will be displayed. OR If the control has
turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow
sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing
through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip,
the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

Possible Causes / Procedure
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check to verify that the pressure switch is
operational.
3. Replace pressure switch.

This is for an F32...there is no F35 fault code on your model according to the service manual....

Door unlock failure
Excessive force on door lid is preventing lock bolt from
retracting.
Wash media buildup is preventing lock bolt from retracting.
Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lid is in an
unlocked state. See TEST #8, page 14

DU is door unlock error - A Door Unlock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked. It will try to unlock the door 6 times before displaying the error.

Solutions -

Door Lock Mechanism broken.

Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly for foreign objects

Check Wire Harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)

that code is for the door unlock error. is it possible that you may have tried really hard to open the units lid when it was locked? if so the door lock may have been broken. if not, then try to unplug the unit for a few minutes and try a new cycle.
if the code comes up again then you will have to call for free service as it has a 1 year warranty for parts and labor. yes even if you broke the lid lock!!! dont worry it happens when you get something new and are not sure how it works.
