Look for the sub pre out on the back of your amp and connect a sub cable to this and next to the LFE or phono type input on the back of the sub ,if it has two inputs left and right pick the left side ,set the cross over to suit your system and speakers,if you are not sure set the cross over to 80 hertz, this is a thx standard.
hope this helps.

How do i connect a sub wooferto my reciever

I own 2 of these Pioneer VSX-D903S units.

The only way to hook a powered subwoofer up to a VSX-D903S is if your subwoofer is equipped with amplified/speaker level terminals on the back, in addition to the line-level input. If you only have a line-level input, do not attempt to hook it up to this receiver.

If you're lucky, and have speaker-level inputs on your powered subwoofer, you would use the amplified terminals (connect to B-channel on the receiver). DO NOT connect anything to the line-level connection.

Alternatively, you could build two unpowered subwoofers, then set the receiver's Impedance switch to LOW, then connect one enclosure to each of the "B-channel" outputs. Connect your regular left and right speakers to their corresponding "A-channel" outputs. [Impedance range: 4 Ohm minimum, 16 Ohm Maximum]

Power sub woofer is not working on my pioneer vsx-81txv everything is working all the speakers except the power sub connection at the back all i can hear is the hissing sound when i try to connect the sub...

Hissing? How loud? A sub isn't even capable of making high frequency sounds at normal volumes.

The Pioneer manual would tell you how to enable and test the subwoofer output.

Where do my subwoofer speaker wires get hooked up to on the back of the reciver vsx-815 ??

Hi there, the Pioneer VSX-815 amplifier only feeds out a mono LINE LEVEL output with the subwoofer signal. Therefore you would need to connect the SUB PREOUT jack at the rear of the unit to the "line level input" on a self-powered subwoofer. Hope this helps.. Cheers, Yusuf

The reciever is connected to my subwoofer but Im not getting anything out of my subwoofer.

You need to instruct the receiver that it has a subwoofer and then tell it if it should share the bass with other speakers. Read the manuals for both the receiver and the subwoofer. AVR's take some setting up. Subwoofers are never assumed to be installed.

I just got a velodyne deq 10r, i paired it with 5

In the manual that was included with the unit, it covers the basics of this question.

It really is up to you and how you want the sub to work with your mains.

Try one setting and adjust to find what you like.

No sound

I assume you have the user manual for it.
If not it's here in Adobe Acrobat format .pdf file:

Just a thought but are you sure the speaker connecters on the back or the reciever are gripping the inner wire and not the plastic covering on the leads. Sounds daft I know but I have seen it before.
