I am not familiar with that model.. However ant time you open the compartment or unlatch it THE CAMERA think you are installing NEW FILM so camera goes back to the "Beginning". is this your first time use??, look for the instructions or google it.
You need to determine what is preventing the shutter from opening/closing. Set to "B" mode and with the lens OFF, press shutter button but DO NOT RELEASE just yet. Not any peculiar motions (grabbing, skipping, folding etc). The curtain may well be out of alignment, or there may be a lose part which is grabbing hold of another component.
If you do find the culprit, and it can be fixed on the spot - do it. Technicians can charge >$65 just to open the thing. Then you have to wait at least a week to get it BACK!
Your shutter is stuck open. Remove the lens. Set to fireworks mode. May need to be in a dark room. When you press the shutter button tap the camera with an object that won't damage it. I used a rubber coated knife handle. Pull the battery and repeat. Tapping all around the camera. Hopefully it will break free. Then do some continuous shooting to loosen it up.
Did you accidentally press the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera? This manually turns the screen on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder to take pictures. To turn the screen back on, just press this button one more time.
A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture.
You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help:
Sounds like you accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back. This manually turns the screen on/off to save batteries. Just press it one more time to turn it back on.
Usually this is beacause you press the button "visible", all camera have this button to choose the visible model of the LED, you can turn off it to save power to take more photos by view sight from the small sight window above the screen.
