You may be getting a small amount of cross-talk. How high are the gain settings and sliders when this occurs? Also, can you describe the overall setup that you are using? I'll check the prints, but you should not be getting any volume unless the gains are maxed.

Thanks for the update. There seems to be quite a bit of crosstalk in your machine. I'll check the prints tonight and see if I can narrow down the circuits for you. While not the top of the line in quality, these Mackie boards are workhorses and don't generally have this problem. (I own some too.) Let me research this a bit and I'll update this with what I find.

Thank you very much Dan. My settings have all the gains and sliders near "U" mark, none is maxed.
I also tested that even when all the sources are disenaged and subgroup/main mix sliders are at "zero"(infinity), tiny amount of sound still exists, although this may not be an issue in real life as mostly at least one source is engaged.
My setup: channels are connceted to mics, drum machine, guitars, CD player, ipod...and output to a pair of powered monitors.
