Don't know the model from the information you give, so can only give general advice, but you can try looking for OSD or On Screen Display or On Screen settings on the TV's menu.
All you need to do is press the TV/VIDEO button in the top left corner of your remote. Each time you press, it will cycle through the connected external inputs, e.g. AV1, AV2, etc.
On the top left hand corner of your remote is a button with the letter i on it and a green query mark beside it. Press it once and the AV1 icon should disappear. Took me ages to find this out, so you're not alone...
