If your device gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.

1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON
2. Pull out the battery.
3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture.
4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight.
5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours.
6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.

I cant start my iPhone, and I did not sfiched off last night, for some reson did by it self.

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

My Iphone 3G is not turning it has the apple sing in the middle of the screen and stay like that, I did not drop it in into water or anything like that ... what can I do?

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

Continue holding both buttons (Ignore the "Slide to power off") until the iPhone shuts off and begins to restart.

I changed my Iphone 3G passcode last night and woke up this morning and can't remember at all what it was. What do I do to retrieve it?

You can't retrieve it. What you need to do is RESET it.
To reset it you need to connect it to the last computer you connected it to then.
Hold the power button and then slide to power off.
Press the power button
As soon as the apple logo appears press and hold both the top power button and the home button together until the orange triangle appears. (This should put the iPhone into restore mode)
Open itunes and restore.

I have an iphone 3G 8GB and it is only a month 1/2 old, ever since i got it it has been freezing, when i get calls it will freeze and go black so i cant hang up, then goes away a short time after pressing...

The Apple store should replace it because it is under warranty, dont worry about that. But try syncing with iTunes to backup your essential data, then check for any software upadates, and update. If this doesnt fix it, try a restore.

If none of the above sorts the problem Apple will almost certainly replace the phone as it is not fit for the purpose for which it was sold. Statutory rights also apply to mobile phones.

Hope this helps

Iphone wont turn on

To fix this, you need to hook it up to your computer, run itunes, and let itunes recognize it. Itunes will notice it's not working right (you may need to play with it a bit to get to this point, otherwise just choose restore). When it's all connected, use iTunes to restore your phone to factory and try the jailbreaking all over again.

Good luck, let me know how that goes.

Caid.
