Behind the washer is a plastic hose that enter the drain.Make sure that nothing is pinching it closed. You can also use drain cleaner in the drain but not in the machine.
What spin cycle are you using? Try a faster spin option. (The wrinkle release setting uses more water and a lower spin speed.) Try putting fewer items in a load in the futute and make sure it isn't unbalanced. (One really heavy item could imbalance the load and shift the spin efficiency.) Redistribute the clothes and run a Drain/Spin cycle. Make sure to use HE detergent (don't use more than the recommended amount of detergent).
The other issue to check is if the machine is draining properly. Check that the drain hose isn't clogged. Also check the voltage at the washer - low voltage will result in a slower spin cycle. To correct this, you probably will want to call an electrician.
Its possible that the door is not locking properly. If the door doesn't lock the machine will wash, but not spin the clothes dry. If you wait 15mins or so after machine is done, then set cycle to spin, it will pump any water that has dripped off your clothes out, but again it will not spin. Helps a little.
Is the machine a FAV6800A or FAV9800A. If it is one of those models are you failing in Spin Cycle of the Wash Cycle with a dC or Uc error code to the display? Lets nail down the model number and I will try to point you the repair path......Rich
If it's spinning when you lift the lid, the coupler is fine.
If it isn't spinning--and your machine was produced by Whirlpool®--you may have a broken coupler. Many Whirlpool-made washers use a small, relatively inexpensive device called a motor coupling. This plastic-and-rubber component is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. When that happens, you need to replace it completely.
Spin cycleIf the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt , a worn clutch , or a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Replace the applicable component.
Alternatively, there could be clothes caught between the inner and outer tubs. Read the "It spins but won't pump" section of the "It won't drain" section. Also, there could be other things that cause friction on the drive train. Seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician.
SiphoningIf the water that pumps from the machine goes right back into the machine after the spin cycle, it may be because your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry tub with a slow drain, back into the washer. Try to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is there something stuck in the drain?) Also, be sure the drain hose doesn't reach more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub. If it does, cut off the excess.
Water-inlet valveWater-inlet valves eventually fail. One problem that may develop with a water-inlet valve is that it can no longer completely shut off when the electricity is turned off to it. Then, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub--you may notice that your washer has water in it when you haven't used it for a few days. To fix this, replace the valve.
thanks and plse do not forget to accept the solution.
If the pump is clogged and can't release all the water it won't go into final high spin. Remove lower cover and locate coin catch and unscrew it. Water will come out, so be ready. If it's full of stuff, this is probably the problem.
the problem is your spin program is normal but the machine could not do its job usually there is broken pin clucth under the spinning tube and sometimes the spin gear.this is due to overlload problem. you should brought the machine to your trusted machine repairer as this cost you around US 100-200 in comparison if you buy new one
