Adapter/power supply cord missing emachine model SP 30A speakers

Please tell me the input voltage and amperage (output voltage and current of adapter)of my speakers, emachine model: SP-30A (US) (I need to buy a new adapter)

You just need a standard 9v power cord

  • Bea Viver

Brenda, there is no such thing as a "standard" 9v power adapter. You must know if it's alternating current or direct current (output), as well as how many amps it needs to supply. :-)

does this mean I need to set my universal power adapter to 9 volts? because my speakers are buzzing even at that setting...Dynex 1200mA AC adapter thanks!

  • oldLM Mar 24, 2020

It doesn't make any sense that it's an AC / DC adapter if the input and output are both AC. ( the AC feed is probably what's causing the buzzing) Try a 9 volt tip positive DC adapter.

  • oldLM Mar 24, 2020

After doing some more research it may be that the adapter needed is 9 volts ac, but a 1200 milliamp Supply may loaded too lightly to regulate properly at 9 volts by these speakers and that's causing the buzzing.

I thought it required 200mA not 1200mA. With DC it doesn't usually matter if the amperage is higher but I can see how it might with AC especially when you're using five times as much as it needs. I'm looking right now through my many extra adapters to find one to use on the exact same speakers.

IS SONY SPEAKER VGP SP1 INPUT CONNECTION DIFFERENT FROM VGP SP2 SPEAKER CONNECTION

There may be many different power supplies that will work for your speaker system, but they must comply with the following:
1. The output voltage of the power supply should be correct as what the speaker system requires. (seems like 12 V in your case)
2. The specified maximum current output of the power supply should always be a higher value than the Amperage spec of the speaker system.
3. The output wires or pins of the plug on the power supply should correspond to the (+) and (-) on the power input of the speaker system.

A multimeter will come in handy to determine a power supply's output voltage and polarity.

How can my laptop charger fit to computer speaker?

Please do not modify your laptop charger to power your speakers. The laptop charger probably has too high a voltage and amperage output. (USB chargers don't provide a large enough output.) The Altec Lansing ACS40 speakers need a 15V 900 mA power transformer; the coaxial power connector has the positive voltage on the center pin. The model number on the transformer is 4815090R3CT . This is available through Amazon.com and other vendors. One vendor is http://www.emtcompany.com/altec-lansing-4815090r3cac-power-supply-charger-adapter/1010666.html .

I hope this helps.

Hello everyone! I have lost my Koss HD50 power supply and was wondering again, how many volts and how many amps? ex:6V, 500ma Thank you kindly! Erjel

Three C cell size batteries per speaker is what you use if you are on the go.

http://www.shopping.com/Koss-HD-50/the-paradox-decent-small-computer-speakers/1386310/reviews#tabAnchor

Hmmm.

EACH C cell battery produces 1.5 Volts (DC)
3 times 1.5 Volts (DC) = 4.5 Volts
Total of 9 Volts (DC)

500 MilliAmps?

Your main concern is with the Voltage.
The Amperage can vary. It can be more than needed.
Why?

Because Amperage represents Current.
How much Current is available.

(Water hose example;
Voltage is the speed, or velocity of the water coming out. Amperage is how many gallons per minute that comes out of the hose)

However, you better make sure that EACH speaker receives No more than 4.5 Volts (DC)
Since you do not have the special splitter adapter cord that comes with the power brick, you will have ensure that EACH speaker receives no more than 4.5 volts.

This is if you are trying to use a 9 Volt (DC) power supply. (AC adapter)

Please tell me the input voltage and amperageof my speakers emachine model sp-30a

Output Values:
Output 9 VAC 200 Ma

Input values:
Input 120 VAC 60 Hz
I believe this is what you are looking for. Output voltage and amperage for the SP-30A speakers, as read on the tag. The output will be the sound out and capabilities. The input is going to be the standard US wall socket.

What is the dc input for JBL Media 100

They run @ 12 volts 850mA. So an adapter with center pin positive at around 1A(1000mA) would give it enough "headroom". This means it would run cooler and last you longer. Amperage consumption is determined by the power it is producing, how loud you are playing the setup.
