The camera will not power up making it un able to down load our pictures. Is there a way to recover the photos without powering up???
Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this camera photo recovery software called asoftech photo recovery
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.
I have had success with this digital camera recovery software called asoftech photo recovery

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.
My friend recommend an articlehttp://www.card-data-recovery.com/memory... I think you will also know how to recover photos after reading this article.

Take the memory card out of your digital camera and stop saving more data to the camera memory card. Then find some tested and reliable program from this site Digital Camera Recovery. Here are the steps you may follow.
1. Connect your camera (memory card) PC or Mac which has installed the recovery program.
2. Scan for the lost files (photos, videos etc).
3. Recover them.
Hope this helps, best regards.

Have you saved all your photos on the
memory card of this digital camera?
If you have, you can directly try to
restore your data back from this memory card.
So, insert this memory card to your
computer via a card Reader and then check whether it can be read functionally
here.
If it can work well here, you'd better back
up all your photos on another card or drive in case of any similar data loss
problem.
But, unfortunately, if this card cannot be
read functionally here, in order to copy off your contained photos, you'd
better try a camera memory card data recovery freeware that always can deeply scan your card and do its utmost
to retrieve all your inaccessible photos back successfully:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/photo-recovery.html
Note: If you still want to get back all your photos, you'd better never
save any new photo on this memory card before you've restored them all
completely.
Never forget to back up everything
important at least on two cards or locations.
Hello, Pvegajr! I recommend you to use this photo recovery software (also recover music and video files); it can help you recover your lost pictures from your memory card:
Photo Recovery for Windows Users
Photo Recovery for Mac Users
Remember not write any thing to the device until you have got your pictures back!
Best wishes!
If the pictures are stored in a multimedia card
you can use a card reader instead
