Pull the starter rope and observe the ON/OFF switch. Does it flash as the engine spins? If so, you have found the problem! The flashing light in the switch indicates the engine oil is low. Add engine oil as needed to reset the AUTO-SHUTDOWN feature and it will run again. (If everything else is healthy.)

If this does not resolve the issue, reply to this post using the "Add Comments" option and we can further diagnose it.

Hope this helps,

Mower will start and run for @ 10-15 minutes then stall. replaced battery, cleaned fuel tank, fuel line, new fuel filter, and cleaned carburator. told it may be electronic ignition. any ideas?

thats what it sounds like. check as soon as it quits for spark.. the coils ar the ignition on these, its built in the coil,, if you have spark , could be the vapors, this is when thee carb gets too hot and vapor-locks..it need a shield between the carb and muffler

Coleman Powermate 10 HP Generator shuts down after a few minutes.

I have an HM100 on a 5500 watt gen with the same problem. This motor calls for a J17 spark plug, but I found using a J19 (hotter) plug solved the problem. I think the J17 doesn't get hot enough for a complete combustion burn so it act like fuel starvation thus resulting in the black sooty and wet plug.

Motor runs for 5-10 min. then starts missing and quits.

Check your spark first,if you do not have spark your problem is the coils-if you do have spark the problem probaly lies withone of your valves getting stuck after getting hot and soonas it cools down a little it closes and then you can restart it till it gets hot again.Hope this helps

Tractor starts then stop running

It will either be the stator that needs changing or the carb needs to be pulled off and cleaned
