Most security certificate are valid for a year or two. If you computer's data is out of that range it will assume the certificate has expired or hasn't yet become valid.
The first thing to do whenever you have certificate errors especially on secure websites is to check the clock.

Right click the clock and click adjust time/date and make sure the Time.....the Day....the Month and the Year are all correct....and finally check you are in the right time Zone.

While in Internet Explorer, click "Tools" > Internet Options > Advanced. Scroll down to the "Security" section and uncheck the "Check for publisher's certificate revocation" box.

How to get a valid yahoo certificate update because mine got expired

Hi there, the simplest way to resolve certification error is by fixing your computer's date. If the clock's date was set wrong, then it sends expired security certificates. I hope that helps.

Check the clock on your computer and make sure it is set to the correct date and time. This can really mess certificates and cookies up.

I can't sign in to my e-mail.I keep getting a message that the security certificate for this suite has expired or is not yet valid.

Resolution:
Change system clock to reflect today’s date. This error is showing because the system clock is not Today’s Date.
Steps to Correct:
-Under Start Menu. Select Settings - Control Panel - Date/Time.
-Ensure date and time are current.
Applicable to servers: WindowsNT IIS4.0, Windows 2000 IIS 5.0 and Windows 2003 IIS 6.0
