Yes - battery appears to have failed after just one year; was hardly ever used. It will not recharge. Indictor light flashes initially once unit is plugged into wall; however, goes steady red (indicating full charge) within seconds. Leaving unit plugged in for 5 hours charging time stated in manual does not actually charge it. No battery power.
WALMART indicated that Lenox, maker of this Durabrand DVD, is not out of business, but Lenox customer service dept (number is in manual for PDV-709) and webmail address there indicate that they are.
Had this product for let then 6 months,tryed to call the number is dis connected,E-mailed bounces back,letters are returned. HELP PLEASE.NOTHING WORKS

I also have a Durabrand portable DVD player that needs a battery just after one year and will not charge. I called Lenoxx and the toll free number has been disconnected and no other # is available. Where can I get a batter for a Durabrand model: PDV-705 machine? It is a DC 9V 20W Li-Ion rechargeable batter pack.
