Your controller has the ability to turn on the Xbox by pressing and holding the guide button. Check to make sure it is not stuck on any of your controllers. The Xbox can also pick up regular remote signals. One of your other remotes (if you have any) may be interfering with it. If your Xbox came with a media remote, make sure none of its buttons are stuck. Also, fluorescent lights (the swirly bulbs and the long, narrow bulbs) can sometimes trigger things. Another thing could be a Wii remote (if you own a Wii). There could be the rare possibility that it or the light bar is causing this problem. Sorry for the long message. I hope this helps!

The lights keep blinking but nothing is happening. It wont connect to the console. What should I do?

It's possible the xbox 360 controller isn't connected to the xbox 360. Turn the xbox 360 on by pressing the power button, and wait until it reaches the dash board. Then press the controller syncing button on the xbox 360 itself and wait until the xbox 360's ring lights start to spin around. Then press and hold the synch button on the controller (located near the charge port) and the controller should synch up with the xbox 360.

Games will not load on xbox 360

Hello,

If once you put a game in the disc tray but it is does not load, you still have the dashborad on the screen or its just says "Reading" then "Open tray". You'll need to check first that you didn't set your Xbox 360 to boot to the dashboard.
To check this turn on the Xbox 360 with no discs in the disc tray. Go to the System section then Console Settings then Start up make sure it's set to Disc not Dashborad.
If you select disc the Xbox 360 will play the disc when you turn it on. But if you select dashboard the Xbox 360 will stay on the dashboard when you turn it on.

If you did so and still not loading, try another thing. Make sure this issue isn't with this disc only. Try some other discs and DVDs if you have to make sure is it an issue with this disc specifically and by then you'll need to get another disc or it's the console itself.
You'll need also to make sure that your Xbox 360 is not overheating and it's in a well ventilated place.
Check that the date and time are set correctly. To check this go on the System section then Console Settings then Clock then Date and Time. If it's not set to the correct date and time, set them correctly.
The last step to try is to unplug the Hard Drive and try some discs without the Hard Drive attached just to test is it the Hard Drive or the Xbox 360 itself faulty. If you did so and it worked without the Hard Drive, it would be obvious that it is the Hard Drive's issue.

Take care.

My xbox wont work

The Xbox 360 will break from over heating itself. Maybe the rattling was the cooling system. Send the Xbox 360 to Microsoft and they will send you a new one free.(Save your hard drive!)

Xbox 360 not turning on

Hi there,

from your description i would say that you are having a problem which lies within the system itself, could possibly be faulty/broken electrical connections or your motherboard is damaged.

Due to this being a hardware issue, and the fact that all 360 systems have a 5 year microsoft warranty, i would suggest contacting Xbox customer support. their number can be found on http://www.xbox.com/support

Hope this helps
