Hi,

may sound odd, but chek the cables if they all are properly connected... if so and nothing has happened check the power in the new plug using a lamp or something like that to make sure that it is getting power. And if the power´s ok, try using a different cable to the printer, maybe it just got torn inside.

Why room temperature to high?

Printers run at a high temperature as it is. the ambient temperature in the room can affect the printing quality. If your printer is informing you the room is too hot then it is unable to pull cooler air through the vents to cool the inner workings of the printer. If your room is between 16 and 26 degrees Centigrade it will be happy. If your room is already in this range and it is still saying room is too hot then check your printer's vents. They may be clogged with dust or enclosed in an alcove that does not allow for proper airflow. If this is the case then move your printer or vacuum the vents with a vacuum cleaner.

Help me please, my Dell V505 will only show a orange wifi sign indicating a bad wireless signal. What can i do about this?

Hello emma.
Has the printer always worked fine from that same location or was the printer in another room.If it was in another room then you might have to either move the printer back or bring the wireless router closer.
Step 2.
If the printer has always worked fine from that same position then it might not be able to connect to the wireless access point.
You either need to switch off the router /wireless access point and printer at the same time for about 1min and then try again.
Try to switch off the printer first and unplug from mains for 5 min and see if this solves the problem if not then step 2 is required.

I am repeatedly getting error code 5010 once I scan any document.

Ok it can be either 2 things: The FIRST is if you have not UNLOCKED the scanner lock switch. The scanner lock switch is a switch that keeps the scanner assembly frozen in place so that when you move your scanner from room to room or apartment to house, the scanner wont freely move around the unit causing it to be dammaged.

To unlock the Scanner lock switch just lift your document cover and look for the swtch on the LEFT hand side of the scanner's glass bed.

SECOND: IF the scanner lock swtich is set at UNLOCK, then your scanner assembly is broken and needs to be replaced. You must then send it to Cannon or any Mulitfunction printer repair place.

I have moved my xerox phaser 8550 from one room to another. it wont power up, i have checked connections and cables. also the ink waste tray has got jammed. could this be related . help

you should see power indicator when you turn it on but the printer will still not work if it has jammed paper, check also the walloutlet maybe it has no power or connections are loose
