My Intuos3 Tablet should be working, because a blue light is turned on when it's plugged in, [as it should,] but when I either bring its pen very close to the tablet or make contact, it should change to green to show that the tablet's registered its proximity, and it should, of course, move the mouse.
Instead, when I touch the pen to the tablet, not only does the light not switch from blue to green, but nothing happens whatsoever. The mouse doesn't move, the light stays blue, and everything acts as if the pen's not even there.
I'd very much appreciate if anyone would help me out: How do I get the pen to function as it should?
Same exact issue, same tablet model- I tried re loading the driver multiple times, un-installing and re-installing the tablet. It worked at one point, but suddenly stopped, giving a pop-up saying "The Tablet Driver is not working", and then, when re-installed again, nothing at all.Same exact issue, same tablet model- I tried re loading the driver multiple times, un-installing and re-installing the tablet. I also have the same problem, using vista ultimate edition un-installed the driver re-installed the driver...tried system restore also no good. Also when the mouse is on the tablet it is trying to do something (windows is making audible bleep for USB device plugged/unplugged)
Just had a pop-up in the system tray saying a USB device has stopped working or has malfunctioned.
At first thought it had just died so I tried it another PC to discount that, it worked fine on the other PC.
Any help at all would be great.
Update it's fixed not sure why maybe a faulty USB hub as i tried it in one of the PC's USB plugs.I also have the same problem, using vista ultimate edition un-installed the driver re-installed the driver...tried system restore also no good. Does your tablet have an LED to indicate it's being powered? If so, it must be the pen.
Does your pen have an internal battery? If so, it's time to replace it.
Good luck!
I think the pen has gone bad on you, since your screen can still detect your hand and the track pad. I would think the pen is faulty. Try another pen cause I think your original is bad, if it was the touch feature that wasn't working I would say its a driver problem but that feature still works with the exception of the pen. Get another pen.
Try replacing the pen nib. Take out the little nib with a tweezer or something along those lines and replace it with a new one. There should be a few of them when you bought the tablet. Also, try looking at the tablet properties.
^The question is NOT asking about a USB thumb drive, and a lot of people seem to have failed to understand this.

I don't believe Bamboo pens work.
i lost my software that came with the system and want y to install the operating system. purchasing the software and install it. i downloaded drivers and yet the pen did't work.
have u tried re-installing the driver...
if thats the case even if u tried different pens it wouldnt work... plus even if ur driver was fine a different pen wouldnt work for that driver...
after re-installation if the pen still doesnt work then theres a 50% chance ur pens not working...
One more thing does ur monitor support it???
Exactly the same as the original poster except i'm using a Graphire4.
