The monitor does not turn on but blue indicator on light is on

When I turn power on, the monitor does not turn on while the blue indicator light on the power button is dimly lit. I tried pushing it on & off, but it did not do anything, not even sleep(yellow light)if I'm right.

How do i fix a monitor that sometimes just turn off by itself and turn on after being cut of the elec. power?

There are settings for the sleep (power saving) modes that came with Windows updates.
Some of our monitors also shut off the power indicator light when they go to sleep.
Solution: Check the power saving settings in Windows.

Hello,

A flashing power light indicates a failure of the power supply, this will also cause the white screen. Here is a link to a page showing what parts need to be replaced to repair the power supply board and get your monitor back running again.

How do I turn it on

Hello.

To power on the Gateway VX750, press the power button on the front. The power button has 3 sides with a "G" in the middle.

The LED indicates the power status of the monitor.
  • Not lit - The monitor is turned off or does not have power connected.
  • Blinks one time and then goes off - The LED blinks one time when the monitor's power cord is plugged into an AC outlet to indicate that power is detected.
  • Lit solid blue - The monitor is turned on and active.
  • Blinking blue - The monitor is in power saving mode. Before entering power saving mode, a message briefly appears.
Hope this helps.

Blue on indicator light not working

Hello,

If turned on and working good, just the indicator light that does not show.

This indicates that the indicator bulb is bad or burnt.

All you need to do is to replace the indicator bulb of your monitor.

Take care.

Can't get monitor to power on

I have a similar switch on mine, although mine is a Gateway. So my solution is going to assume the same indicators and functionality.

On mine, a blue-violet power switch indicates it is off, red indicates standby mode, and blue to indicate it is on and/or searching for a signal. When turned on (blue), the monitor will go to standby mode (red) after 3 to 4 seconds if it does not detect a source signal. So if you toggle the power switch to blue and it soon changes to red, you'll need to check your signal, cable, or possibly for a bad source connection on the monitor.

Stuck in power saver

Try the unlock procedure: With the monitor on press and hold the "MENU button for abot five seconds and see if it resets. If that doesn't work tell me a bit more about the screen - is there any OSD (on screen display) or error messages? Is the power indicator light on? If so, what color is it? Blue indicates that that you may need to turn the brightness and contrast up...\ If it is actually in power save the indicator light will be amber. What color is it? If the light is amber and all the connections to the computer are correct and it still won't come-up then it's an internal problem and the protect circuit may be keeping the screen from lighting. Good luck... And let me know. Bill
