Test the regulator chips FIRST before ANY replacement. These chips are very reliable and the problem is LIKELY elsewhere.

The 7815 and 7915 ar 15 volt three terminal regulators in TO220 style packages. Three leads. The 7815 is plus 15 and the 7915 is minus 15.

CAREFUL as the input and ground pins are in different order between the two.

FIND the specs and picture with Googling the numbers.

These chips will be soldered in AND MAY be screwed or clamped to a heatsink OR just standing up from the board.

Often they are close to an internal fuse. A thermal fuse, nog a normal one, just like the 7824 and 7924... which probably also is on your board.

Type of ic used in Behringer

Behringer uses many types of IC's in their speakers and subwoofers. The IC's are normally marked. Is it an 8 pin? Then could be an opamp. Include the model and which PCB it is on if more than one and what marking is next to the IC?

Ic burned

which ic burnt? if in the output (amplifier) stage it is probably a transistor (or pair) that went out. you will also need to replace the biasing resistor and diode. if in the input/preamp stage any general purpose 8 pin op-amp will work. Be careful when soldering this unit, it has a multi level circuit board. If this unit is out of warranty (over 2 years old) It will probably be more economical to purchase another unit imo. good luck.

B300 speaker blowing mains fuse as soon as power applied

The power transformers in these and some other behringer speakers have a habit of short circuiting.
Good luck trying to get any details from behringer about spares or tech info..they act like they have something to hide...and maybe they do ;).
You can unscrew the amplifier part from the speaker and disconnect all leads except those 2 going to the power transformer..if it still blows the fuse then the transformer is history.

Behringer PMX 2000 Amplifier

Hi aliciacarol,

The best place to go to get parts for Behringer parts I have found is straight to Behringer themselves, or an agent nearest to you. They are generally inexpensive to buy, and delivery are better than most. Steer your way to your nearest agent to you from the map . If you have any troubles, feel free to get back to me here. Good luck, thanks for using FixYa
