HI Junius, Repairing plasma TVs is a highly difficult,complicate and skilled job. Components are also expensive. There may be several reasons for this problem. Well if you are handy with repairing, you may try checking the power board for some swollen capacitors and hopefully repair your tv. Beyond that, please let some good TV tech take over. Good luck.

Only when the middle AF-point (square in the middle) becomes green and you hear a beep, you can press the button compete to make the picture. With live view, you degrade your camera to a point and shoot. Focusing takes longer that way. Can be handy is special situations, but the focusing could be a pain, when you are used of taking pictures trough the view finder.
Hello sorry to hear that. From your description it sounds like your signal board may have been damaged by you plugging in your laptop to it. The signal board is the one with the tuner on it.

This sounds like the color wheel. If it stopps spinning the tv will not come on and when they go bad you will hear a sound simular to what you are describing. The repair is a delicate one the color wheels are avaialble. If you are not handy with repair i would leave it to a pro.
I have one of these. It sounds like your projection light bulb has burned out & it needs to be replaced. Last time I checked (2 years ago), they were about $200. They are not hard to change if you are handy. Follow the directions, do NOT touch the bulb with your bare hands, use gloves or the oil from your hand will cause it to burn out prematurely. If you are not handy, call for a repair person.
Since you can hear the station it is tuned to, it doesn't sound like there is a problem with the tuner.
At first, when you were not able to hear sound in playback on Camera LCD view, it was problem of Built-in Speaker defect. Now you can't hear sound on TV as well, it means Sound Processor IC is defective. You need to contact Sony Service Center for proper repair.
the problem is common go into menu and go to text you have to shut it off. each tv is set up a little differant ,
you will have to be patient but im sure that is your answer.
