According to the Manual for the KAC-X811D, E-03 indicates that there is a short curcuit in the speaker wires.

Check that you dont have a short on the wires and also check your speakers.

Try disconnecting the speakers and the wires and then swith it on.

If it comes on without showing the error then connect the wires and speakers 1 at a time

When i turn my Kenwood excelon kac-x811d the red light flashes and it shows a error 03 code

This indicates a short somewhere in the speaker wires according to the manual. Check connections at the harness of the deck (if you are powering the speakers from the deck) for shorts, or if there are no connections ensure that the loose wires are taped off to prevent shorting (touching other wires, or metal). If you are using an external amplifier you can shut the internal amp off in the deck as well (This will improve the deck's performance).

AMP HAS POWER NO BASS IN BOX RED LIGHT BLINKING SHOWING 3.03 OR E.03

The code E.03 or means that the speaker cable is shorted, or that the speaker cable output is in contact with the vehicle ground. You may need to get a new speaker cable. First check the output for the speaker cable and make sure that it is not touching the ground wire output. If you are sure it is free of contact, the cable is probably shorted.

Kenwood kac X811d amp was shot by a positive wire and went off. What could have blown?

could be the board could be just some fuses on the amp and in the power wire sometimes it actually blows the computer on your car but rarely.

Kenwood Excelon KAC-X811D blinking e-03

Hello mogly20,

The amp probably won't know if it's you or the homeless guy, so try smashing a glass bottle on it like he did. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend you locate another homeless guy and buy another amp.

Hope this helps.
