Model LA712 washing machine has a small leak how

In cold weather an old belt become hard and stiff. When it warms up it is fine. You can either change the belt or you can spray it with Belt Conditioner which helps to soften the rubber and also makes it stickier.

The tub seal could be broken or or ripped or torn and the tub bearing and the tub seals both need to be replaced then for your washing machine and dryer machine combo.

This model has two switches operated by the closing opf the lid.
The small microswitch is a safety device to prevent operation if the larger switch fails in an "ON" position,, something that I have never seen in 30 years but I suppose that it could happen.. Identify the faulty switch after gaining access to the switch housing a t the rear right of the top panel. Pressing on the actuator of each switch should produce a click as you press and release, no click, replace the switch. Do NOT bypass the switches, in the event of an unbalanced wash load, they are needed to stop the machine, otherwise it may shake itself into oblivion!

Sounds like gear case oil. Dark Red? Did you tip the washer over?

these units have a variety of places they can leak from ...unfortunately you will have to gain access..the most common area for leaks in this model is down at the botoom around the drain pump area and or hoses..they spin so fast that all kinds of items can go thrrough the system a pierce the hoses or shatter the pump assembly... gain access to the bottom of unit and run a small load cycle and watch it you should be able to locate the problem and buy your replacement part on line .. good luck hope this helps....

Usually this is caused by the water inlet valve sticking in the open position. If you can catch the washer while it's overflowing, unplug the washer. If the water stops, then the problem is most likely a pressure switch or pressure hose. If the water does not stop, it is most likely the water inlet valve.

two screws hold back control panel on. panel flips up. two clips hold case on. remove clips and lid switch plug and whole outer case will tilt forward off machine base. pump is down in front and can be bought separate.

thats a good one, lookin up the service manual, it appears that your particular model has a manual release on hte lower section of hte latch assembly itself, and the only way to gain access to it, is to open the door boot/bellow, but obviously with the door locked that's not going to happen, i would try to gain access from underneath but by the looks of it that to is also closed off (solid bottom). id does show a model with a separate access panel(lower 1/4 of front of machine) however i am to assume that your unit has 1 solid front panel no access to remove.sorry i couldnt have better news. And the "pull" in the dispenser is no tere previous neptune frontloaders not pertaining to your machine at all!

Have a La712 that will not shut off the cold water whether the machine is running or not.
